Well, this *completely* ruins my username. Also, I honestly don't think it's appropriate to be gossiping about if Lana was harassed or assaulted by a serial creep and abuser. I don't think anyone would appreciate being the subject of that speculation. As another matter, I think often fans mistake Lana's lyrics for real life way too often and think they know things about her that they don't. Same with her comments to the press, many of them happen to not be true. Especially from her early career. I think she was nervous with the press and trying to live in this persona she created as Lana del Rey, and that led to a lot of strange comments that fans latch on to and take way too seriously.

I literally cry every single time at the part in Heroin where she changes to lyrics to "I'm flyin' to the moon again, dreamin' about marzipan" ..... it just always fuccin wrecks me for some reason and i ugly cry

Well it's a lovely video, and Lana looks fuccin good as hell. The little bit of Get Free that plays at the end made me really wish this was a long video that segued into a Get Free or Heroin afterwards. I think it would have actually worked really well with the visuals. Also I totally buy this video was originally for another song. Interscope needs to stop giving her music vid money till she makes up her damn mind on what she's going to use tbqh

I love white mustang. Reminds me a lot of UV, sweet sad and lonely. I just wish it was longer.

White Mustang, Heroin, and 13 beaches all made me cry in my bed. Those three are some of her best songs ever. I was worried this album would be all positive vaguely political statements - to me that's just not really lana, it's not what she does best and it's not what made her an icon to so many. I'm so happy the album isn't like that. I like it so much more than I thought I would. She's still an amazing songwriter when she looks inside and finds the right inspiration. And her VOCALS on this album are honestly the best we've ever heard I think. You can tell she really worked at crafting these songs to sound beautiful.

I like the video a lot, it's super cute, but I'm not really digging the makeup looks she is going for this era.

I'm getting really frustrated with the lyrics on this album so far. Part of what made Lana's songwriting so fantastic was that many of her lyrics and songs were mysterious and subtle and put together in a way that was almost impressionistic. Bel Air, Old money, or Salvatore is a good example of this - she evokes feelings with a beautiful string of words that somehow works to get across the emotions and feelings, but its mysterious at the same time. But when you are trying to convey a specific message as she said she is on this album, you can't do that. You need to be clear and blunt to get the message across. So I think that is why her lyrics are suffering on this album lately. She isn't trying to capture and convey complex emotions or fleeting feelings, but rather say "you should be happy" or "hope that war doesn't break out". What she is trying to do just doesn't lend itself to good songwriting honestly, and it's a shame because she is *such a gifted writer*. It's one of the main reasons I stan her. I really hope there is more to this album than anti-war and happiness songs, but what I'm seeing so far is really disappointing to me in lyric terms. As flawed as honeymoon was, she at least didn't let me down much in that department.

Is everyone just letting lana slap some lyrics together and then call it a song now? Is her management asleep? I feel like she used to work at and craft her lyrics, there are so many awkward lines here that should have been tweaked and worked on. I think her trying to be political and send a message has really interfered with her songwriting. It's too blunt, too on the nose. No subtlety or depth at all. UGH. At least now we are sort of getting the production we wanted for hunnymoon.....

Her 2012 met gala look was gorgeous, but she can't even be bothered to wear anything besides a sweater and jeans these days. I really doubt she would be going to the Met Gala this year.

LOVE this sound, but even Honeymoon had better lyrics than this or Love. Besides a few sections, this song could have been written by almost anyone. Usually her songs are so distinctive and have such a depth lyrically. This era is shaping up to sound great, at least .

on one hand, I'm happy she is doing the song with Sean and not Yoko. But on the other hand, a Lana album with Yoko Ono screaming on it would be iconic tbh.

And to think I even *considered* unstanning at one point. She scalped me ferociously and I loved every minute of it .

I wish the filter didn't make me look like such a horse but I still love it ~~~
