I really didn't like this track (still don't like any song from this album .. yet) but the video .. damn man!!! How can someone make such a an awesome video on their mobile phone! The effects & camera movement techniques are so artistic. Lana is shook!

Yesss! This. I don't want something like Disconnect or You ('You' snippet sounded like a Troye Sivan level generic track. No offence.) That strange instrument she used in her Instagram post gives me hope she'll experiment & focus more on the art side of things rather than, you know.. collaborating with friends just for the sake of it. Marina is good with working with concepts & I hope she creates one for this album - not just what's going on in her day-to-day life (now that would be bland). Something layered & poetic, you know..

I have a feeling that Marina's new album will either be a masterpiece with iconic lyrics & mesmerizing music OR pretentious garbage full of generic pop songs about relationships & 'self-growth'. There is no in-between... I'm gonna know once I hear the first single.

The title is probably to mislead - not the final thing. Maybe a working title or concept where some parts sound like an answering machine or something. Something like "what-dyu-do-when-the-lights-turn-low-boy?" in her song 'Fake Diamonds'. I don't know why 'Summer Of Sam' comes to my mind. Probably because the spoken verses & that telephone effect on the vocals.

'Makdee' (2002) with English subtitles. I watched this movie as a kid & it scared the shit out of me. I watched it again & it made me nostalgic.

^ I think the brilliance of It Follows lies in it's mesmerising cinematography & soundscore. I've said it before but A Tale Of Two Sisters is & probably will always be my favorite horror movie.

@@99centlips I get your point.. but in my opinion, art is not about what's right or wrong - it is supposed to make people feel something or elicit an emotional response - so if she doesn't relate to the topic of that song anymore, she shouldn't sing it in the first place. I just found it very silly & immature how she has to do that in the middle of the performance. She has started censoring her songs - we all know that - she said it in an interview a few months ago. I just feel she's very conscious about the influence of her music on her younger fanbase now & it might effect her artistic process in LDR6.

^ no offence but it's hard to take her seriously when she's so concerned about her reputation & the 'effect' her music has on the generation. She could have performed the song with passion & shown some professionalism but she had to show how 'woke' she is. God's & Monsters is a perfect piece of art & I know we won't be getting such explicit & iconic songs after Lust For Life - cause she's making 'music for the kids now'.

@ @ the man who was responsible for the cinematography for the first 5 seasons - Michael Goi - was not a part of season 6 & 7, but a different team. That's one of the reasons why Roanoke & Cult had a different (grounded) vibe than the rest of the seasons. Hopefully AHS will go back to it's 'larger than life' visual style & aesthetics roots this season! *fingers crossed*

From leaked sources: 1) AHS is going back to it's tone & structure that it had from S1 to S5. 2) Evan Peters’ and Joan Collins’ grandmother/grandson relationship is “interesting”. 3) there are a LOT of crazy things in terms of story & connections. 4) More big names to join the cast.

NEWS: Ryan Murphy has revealed the next installment of his American Horror Story anthology will take place “18 months from today.” “We start shooting Season 8 around June 16” Asked if he would be adding Anjelica Huston to the Season 8 cast, as has been rumored, Murphy said, “(we’re) talking. I love her.” Evan Peters will play a comedic hair stylist, while Joan Collins will play his grandmother. Sarah Paulson has scenes with Joan. It seems Murphy is returning to the more extreme fantasy realm of his earlier AHS seasons. “It’s heightened,” he said of the season 8. “It’s not necessarily as real and grounded as the past season." Season 8 will be more Coven/Asylum in tone and three of the leads will be minorities. Adina Porter, Billy Eichner, Leslie Grossman and Cheyenne Jackson are all confirmed to return. Go for Coven after Murder House. It is more funny & the characters are ah-mazing! Save asylum for later cause it is darker than the other seasons & just like Murder House is NOT campy. Coven is also dark but it will lighten you up with it's black comedy & tongue in cheek dialogues after MH. Also, just let me tell you this just cause a lotta people like Asylum for it's darkness & consistency doesn't mean it will be your favorite season too. Every season has a different vibe and especiality. Ryan never repeats himself. It's your personal taste & preference that will help you decide. Joan or Angelica? Why do I feel like Ryan is tryna fill in the gap that Jessica Lange left by casting old classic Hollywood actresses? I want Angelica for the Season 9 MH×Coven crossover as a witch not in the sci-fi season. Or maybe in both. Loved her in 'The Addams Family' & 'The Witches'. I hope it works out!
