  1. I don't know why but I'm actually liking the BB cover The fact that she probably edited it herself makes it even more hilarious. Why am I unable to imagine Lana just sitting on her phone and editing her selfies like we do with our fan edits. She is truly a part of this fandom
  2. I just woke up and my god...what is happening? Right before falling asleep I told myself how Lana would post smth so I definitely managed to manifest at least one thought of mine. To be honest...I don't hate the cover. Reminds me a little of the fake Siren cover. And we finally have her blonde. Yes, it is lazy just taking an old selfie but I'm not as bothered as when she shared the COCC one which is weird. The one thing I'm not enjoying is the name change from RCS to BB. Both titles are beautiful but I prefer 3 worded structure a lot more for an album title. RCS even suits more for the selfie.
  3. I guess that was her main intention. However every woman in this industry faces some type of backlash at some point. But it all depends on how the GP actually reacts to that particular person. Lana never had the GP on her side. Not even after Norman. The critics ate that album up but it never translated to the GP. And without the GP you're pretty vulnerable and an easy target across all social medias.
  4. I believe she scrapped the idea of releasing a record which correlates to the QftC concepts. COCC was pretty tame and with titles like "Wild At Heart" it still was underwhelming. It's a beautiful album ofc. I just can't imagine a record with a title like RCS to have songs like Yosemite or Wanderlust. But at this point everything is possible. I just wish she leaves the country twang for her separate project with Nikki.
  5. Of course she didn't have to name anyone but the backlash was definitely unreasonable. I remember people saying she compared her art to theirs or even belittling it but she doesn't do that anywhere in the post now that I'm re-reading it. Phew it has been almost an year.
  6. .....I remember the glamorous part being in the 1st paragraph and that's why I saw the backlash as valid...but turns out people misplaced her words from taking the second paragraph and gluing it to the 1st one and somehow managed to make this hodge podge of a mess. I'm glad Lana stood her ground on this particular post cause at the end of the day there's nothing wrong with it.
  7. Lol. I just read it again and people really blew this out of proportion? Why do I remember it being worded in a whole different way?
  8. The 1st half of the record reminds me of winter and heavy snowstorms. The guitar is so simple yet so haunting so all I can imagine is a person walking in the snow with heavy winds trying to find their way back home. The latter part of the record seem more summery and warm. The record as a whole seems like a transition between seasons starting from autumn and ending with summer. Sirens can't be compared with any other works of Lana's. It exists in it's time capsule. But it seems like with COCC Lana revived May Jailer. Sirens relies on the vocals and the melodies to push the songs since the guitar is quite similar all through out the record. COCC has the same approach. The instrumentals lack drama and grandness and what carries the songs are Lana's vocals and the melodies. We even have two autotune masterpieces on both records . The lyricism through out COCC and Sirens is quite similar as well.
  9. I enjoy Lana's lyrics about doing nothing all day and just doing the laundry. It's somehow a luxury to have that nowadays. Everything goes by so fast and it's like we can't experience the days in their full potential. At least that's how I feel. COCC brings a sense of comfort. Songs like Wanderlust and White Dress in particular. It's a companion to Violet in the sense that is describes her days without any need of adding layers of drama to make it sound interesting. Though in the poetry book she manages to go more in depth about these certain themes of normality.
  10. Omg...is a new song coming? Or is it poetry? Blue Banisters sounds quite beautiful.
  11. I think Lana is breaking down everything that made "Lana Del Rey" the manufactured sadcore princess. COCC is definitely Lana at her most authentic self. Themes about love, freedom, the meaning of life and going back to nature have always been part of Lana's writing dating back to May Jailor. Lana's poetry just like COCC is showing her vulnerability, her own life expiriences. It's not just a fiction anymore. It's a beautifully written story that was actually lived through. So I can't consider Lana as a manufactured artist anymore.
  12. Or those tiktok/insta fan cams where they put images of Lana where she is basically unrecognisable from editing or her head is planted on a whole different body which doesn't fit her head proportions.
  13. UGGHH I can't believe she actually remembers it. One of her prettiest songs both lyrically and sonically.
  14. I don't condone the stan's behaviour. But Iman definitely has a hate boner for Lana and for "white mediocre women" as a whole judging by her tweets. Definitely a red flag for a journalist. How can you expect them to write the truth and have an observant opinion when they clearly show a bias towards certain people. It's disgusting and it's not what journalism is about. I just can't feel sorry for her. When you decide to write lies about a celebrity hoping to get a big check in return then you should be ready to fight with the crazy stans. The only thing Iman can do is stand her ground. And she hinted at a new negative article pointed at Lana so at this point she is just asking for the hate.
  15. She deserves it. She is a vulture journalist. Did you even bother reading her article or are you getting a boner from talking crap about Lana? Iman will play the victim of course but whatever pays her bills I guess.
  16. Omg what is happening???? Is she trolling? I'm so confused. Her new insta post is even more confusing???
  17. Didn't someone suggest an album title like "The Revenge Of Lana Del Rey" or smth? Or is my brain not functioning properly
  18. ...until those strangers learn to respect her privacy and not go up to her to take a picture you won't stop seeing Lana taking selfies with them. Do you expect her to brush her fans off and refuse a photo? It's just funny how you blame her for taking a selfie when all of LB would run up to her for a photo even now during a pandemic
  19. Which means she's quite respectful for even asking. The mask won't even do much when they're so close to each other. As someone who had covid I can confirm that just wearing a mask doesn't guarantee your safety. Of course it minimizes it but there is so much other precautions that should be taken on top of the mask that the everyday person doesn't even acknowledge.
  20. I remember one of the fans confirmed that she actually asked him if he would like her to be without the mask in the selfies.
  21. I don't understand why people are annoyed at Lana for promoting her brother's and sister's work. Maybe Lana sees something special even if we think they're mediocre. If I had a platform and genuinely felt like my siblings had something to give to the world I'll promote them as much as Lana promotes her siblings.
