  1. Honestly I agree with everything but this part. I think it's okay to distance yourself from people who have different political views provided you let people have an opinion about things you may not agree on. For example, I'm pro-choice and I know there are people out there who are pro-life, but after all, they're people who are allowed to have an opinion, even if that opinion is damaging (but hey, it's a great opportunity to have a debate). Yeah it sucks to admit, but that's life and that's how humans work. At the end of the day, we can't force people to think the same way as us. It's quite literally impossible and you have to be a realist to truly understand that you can't just 'shun' people from speaking about certain topics that differ from your own, but we can surround ourselves with people who are likeminded to us to achieve inner peace for our own wellbeing
  2. This thread went to shit when @Lustformoney left and ya'll know it
  3. So I just remembered that Lana often makes literature references in her music, and then I came across a book called this: Which is a lyric in Yosemite: "I remember watching, How Green Was My Valley" It was also made into a film in the 1940's (which is what Lana is referring to). Also I'm not sure if this was mentioned in the COCC thread already. I haven't checked it since the album got released so forgive me for looking like a thief of thoughts So now I wonder if Lana will use any literature references for BB. In my opinion, I think a reference to Flowers in the Attic would be perfect considering Lana is opening up about the relationship between her and her mother more, and in the novel and movie, the mother betrays her children and the children are abused by their grandmother. It gives a harrowing glimpse into the family dynamic where the women in that family are the toxic ones - a view which is rare. It's just the case of knowing if Lana is aware of this book (most likely), so it would be interesting. Any other literature references you think would go well on BB?
  4. I read this in Peter Griffin's voice but so true bestie
  5. and we're too tired to even argue about piano songs BB is already in her flop era. I feel so bad for her
  6. Bumping this thread Song in a Minor Key by Dorothy Parker The Garden by Moonlight by Amy Lowell Eldorado by Edgar Allan Poe
  7. I would love a remastered version of Riverside on BB. The melody is so unique and sweet, it would be a shame to keep it hidden from a bigger audience. I know Lana and Barrie have moved on but she still released BAR which was obviously about Barrie on NFR so like? I mean they seem to be on good terms and I can imagine they'd be professional together if they were to re-record a song they did. Barries likes a lot of Lana's insta posts and acknowledges her so idk...I think they work together in a musical setting very well
  8. "I remember we came in May and we changed our names to Lana and Rey" Hawaiian glam metal era incoming
  9. Oh wow okay so I guess we have some concrete evidence! Next question would be: is it for his album or Lana's?
  10. Either that or this guy is sampling one of her songs where Lana's vocals are included. I'm pretty sure another artist did this before but can't remember which song it was
  11. Lana is so sick for putting out that June 1st date and having the audacity to leave the Instagram post up
  12. Anyone know what this is? I found it on ASCAP and I've never seen it on there before
  13. She looks slimmer to me too. Also I hope she goes back to auburn hair again
  14. The way we're all gonna come on here tomorrow with an iron fist and make delusional countdowns followed by a cat fight over the whole June 1st debacle which will take up 20 pages that Elle will have to move to the random lana discussion thread while handing out warning points is a premonition we all know will happen
