Also, now that I'm aware that Honey Gentry is actually on Lanaboards secretly, (or has friends/fans that are) I just want her to know that I'm probably just a stupid music critic (to every musician I listen , including lana) who can't keep their mouth shut. I'm always gonna keep listening, cause it's still good music. It might also be because I want to make my own music one day, so when I hear songs by my faves i can't help but be like "oooo, I would do this instead"

Just watched this, and I'm definitely on Timothy's side now. This video made me see through Melanie, and I kind of knew deep down that she wasn't all that innocent, but this kind of confirmed it for me. I know nothing has been revealed in this video or anything, but I dunno.. Just going over all of the information again has made me wish that I didn't start supporting her again.

The issue with HIADT is that it’s not a pop song, and most of LDR’s fans became fans because of her talent at creating interesting pop music, like VG and ‘Cola.’ For me, she made pop music, specifically pop music, interesting again for the first time in a decade or more.
 
She’s branched out in all directions since, and obviously not completely left the pop field.
 
But while I like HIADT and recognize its artistry, I don’t think it’s pop music. It’s honest, it’s brave, it’s touching, but there’s no catharsis, at least not for me. Despite the ending, it’s kind of flat.
 
I don’t think most people actively dislike it (though no doubt some do), they’re just looking for something more energetic.
 
LDR used to project such a winning quality, such a commanding persona, she was an international sensation and style guru, what happened to all of that? Maybe she’s simply being more ‘real’ or ‘realistic’ now, but I really miss the haughty conqueror she used to be, or pretend to be.
