I think for us, bc we've been dissecting too much and ruminating within the forum that 6 months has been too long. 6 bc we're not counting the livestream when things still seemed on the up n up . Objectively speaking, January gave us the new year highs, Feb when things started getting back to normal, March, when everyone's still feeling sprite and productive, April, idk really atm, May went by quickly, and now we're in fucking June, days away from summer. What pissed me off before was really the lack of clear communication, but I mean, u learn to just roll w it. She dropped a/the title track's snippet, so that's something to hold on to, for now

I wanna get back to discussing the chances of us getting any more videos like we've gotten from the LFL period. Even if BAR was ultimately replaced, it still had amazing production value, along w the blockbuster vibes from the title track, and the LOVE music video, simply enchanting, and I loved how almost, local it felt, w her singing in the planetarium and the beach . MAC seems legit more like a fashion interlude you'd watch if u went to Tilly's or Vans, which is great forsure, but it seems real forgettable, no malice just tryna b honest. Venice actually fits the track, bc I love how abstract it is, so the flashing images, and how loosely everything connects seems to fit the song's vibes. It's definitely not overbearing, which is something I personally really enjoy. Incredibly excited for the HiaB video, even if it is recycled footage, I just love the vibes it tries to lend itself to b, and I hope there's more substance or frames of her to really connect a story for. The insta snippet makes it seem a lot more active so maybe that'll b enough who knows Wonder why she hasn't really released a track for HIADT exactly. I mean I get that it's a real personal track, so I'll just that with that guess. I usually dislike watching music videos bc I like having my own imagination fuel what I see when listening to music, but ever since Ride, I've been kinda like in awe for the cinematography w her work. It's naive to really think she'll have another Tropico sorta work with how the era's been teetering around to even starting, and just the lax vibes she's been giving off, which is perfectly fine, something different to absorb art and vibe wise, but I really wish she finds that kind of spark to create something as magnificent, at the very least, in that kind of sense. I think I should just shut it and b grateful that music's coming, and that hopefully, there'll b a vinyl that I'll b comfortably buying. Hope the cover's beautiful and properly reflects the music we'll b getting. We've heard a great chunk of it, if even thru snippets, but just gonna b honest, the riverside pic doesn't seem like it lends to what we've gotten music wise. Maybe she was trying a bit more to look more stern, and she's all the music w her, but it doesn't really reflect how poignant and resolved the music is. I dig the vibes, but it feels too Robin Hood, at least for me.

I appreciate the feel of this, and the pic's growing on me, but the technique or lack thereof in feel, is what I dislike about it. Vibe wise, it reminds me of this: which also reminds me of this place that I drive a few min to, to just unwind back to the pic itself, not the edit, I wouldn't mind if it was the back cover tho tbh

I love it when she gives people headaches, bc it makes people think more in-depth and sorta cancels out any kind of opposition-al thinking, if only people thought more about what she's saying instead of what they personally think themselves. There's this kind of power that can drive people nuts, being submissive and silently steadfast and I, personally love how she's sorta touching on that, whether consciously or not. Ditto on the last sentence

I think she actually sings the "fucked me so good " part of the snippet pretty cleanly, almost triumphantly, that takes away from it being as perverse or raunchy. The resonance in her voice, the quickness of the melody, and the key of the song, from what we've heard so far, actually makes it sound healthy. The innocence of the piano makes it coy, but also mature, and how she ends each line w the breathy, soft "you" and "through" actually makes it warmly intimate. Then the resonance deepens a bit and gets more solid as she sings along towards the end of the snippet. Reminds me of like when your lover has to discipline you a bit, when u play mom n pop (like "play house, put my favorite record on" in American, or , "I wear your sparkle, you call me your mama" in Yayo) nd there's that parental partner reference to it. Like a, uh uh, no no baby sorta thing. This might be the healthiest diss track we're gonna get so far- . . . . This, is really shaping up to being a real terrific albuuuuuum

I'm actually kinda hoping that his name doesn't end up being that big of a part of the song. Like maybe a few references here n there, but it'd just feel a bit weird listening to the lyrics Norman fucking rockwell per chorus. Salvatore works since its a lot shorter nd more rhythmic, but idk bout NFR. Terence Loves You and Old Money never had their titles in their lyrics, and those were beautifuuul Thoooough, if it were to lyrically go back to its title, then maybe it might b a more playful track, cheeky, but idk I think it'd just b too lengthy to really have as a constant lyrical term two cents

Hmm. I'm actually thinking how much to a degree or how possible it was for her to actually release something on her bday. I mean, no shade to LFL, but that and how she's really fresh out of fucks forever these days, that she might share the record on the 21st? LfL was for her fans, NFR is defo, more for her than anyone else at this point, if even so late in the game. Still don't know why she'd really do that, stress-wise, but then again, all those festival dates shortly after, makes me think she really wouldn't mind at all. Still so many questions - Nd really, just to be safe, we've seen all the snippets, so in a way, it's kinda like how Alexa leaked the LFL snippets (oh wow wow), what she's doing thru insta, so maybe a surprise or sudden release might just be it.
