I know the album's supposed to be well for Summer, but listening to it during the late latter half of the year last year just jived so well. Listening to it during drives in between holiday parties just elevated it so much. I wonder what it would've felt like if it snowed.

I can't even find a decent piano cover of the song, which would do so much. I get the whole view of the song sort of being slow, and dare I say dull, but I think it's charm and beauty just lies in how haunting yet warm it is to listen to. I wonder if the song has a bridge to it

I'll be honest, I haven't really listened as much to the entire album in a while. I usually go about listening to Love then go to Get Free, 13 Beaches, and Change. When I feel like having a slow sunset moment or two, I just go back to White Mustang or Heroin while the heat's still burning.

God Bless America on good days, Summer Bummer with it. Then strangely enough I find myself listening to Coachella and War when I'm most alone.

I usually listen to Cherry, Groupie Love, and In My Feelings together, the last track not as much tho.

Beautiful People and TNC are jewels on the record, but they haven't really been on my mind lately. 

The album's been up in the air with me atm, but the first 4 tracks just 

I instantly fell in love with Without You on Born to Die

I actually think Change is extra more beautiful in all this winter heat. Heroin too, not bc it's been so dry, but maybe escaping to the moon for a bit looking down ironically makes me feel grateful for all the orange the skies and sunlight's been serving

I think it's great. Others are probably going to disagree but I like the title track having been featured by RS. Course there're some heavier songs that the fan base easier resonates with, but LFL's still pretty up there too

Not the only one, I'd love for her to sort of play off of the whole homemade VHS aesthetic too, I just hope that it's got that crispness to it, and multidimensional when it comes to the video's texture, kinda like the beginning of LFL's vid. Not too sure about the subject matter, but yes, and Lanafied if that even makes any sense

if lana is directing, we know its gonna be trash. theres a reason why professional directors declined her idea.

I'm keeping my expectations low but since this is a discussion, here's what I hope for:

 

From the moment I heard Cherry, I instantly thought of the Gods & Monsters music video. So in my mind I'm thinking of a lo-fi filter, with lots of neon colors and signs, most likely pink/red. Very trashy, yet intact. I see fire too "my rose garden dreams/set on fire by fiends", kinda reminiscent of the Shades of Cool video

I actually thought the outfit was a nice concept til I saw the literal cherries on top of her head ahaaaa. I like the shimmery bodysuit tho

Is the video really coming?

 

I'm not entirely sure. I'm guessing that she's either clipping the vid together, or maybe editing it, if she was the one to post on her insta, not hacked. Maybe it's hype, but at least we know she's focused on releasing one for It

I really don't know what to expect cause I haven't understood what is the song about

I usually just go by the sound of the track, and how it vibes. I mean usually the emotions just leak through the song's narrative but I'm guessing love n lust are primary themes.. idk much about the entire context, but she's mentioned what real love is for her, so I guess that's a solid start..

 

That it's good so it can improve the quality of the awful song

It's cool, I usually avoid music videos when it comes to most of the stuff I listen to. Just wanted to sort of share my notes on what Cherry looked like in my head

As sure as sure can be, thru Lana's vocabulary, we'll be getting a music video for Cherry soon. We already know she'll be directing the video herself, with the help of Chuck as filmographer. So what are your hopes and expectations for the video?

 

 

For me, I'd like to start off with this aesthetic, but with a bit more color saturation, not too strong, but more of a vivid glow.

 

I think it'd be great if she had a lavender-colored violet, the flower, shape inspired dress, knee length, in contrast to the soft yellow and beige lights of the hotel room, which would contrast to a dark aquamarine colored outside of her motel/hotel

 

 

 

 

have a scene in the rain, preferably reflected mutlicolored somehow, symbolic for drugs too, a tangerine colored bikini/swimsuit under a chocolate milk colored silk nightgown. Some kind of dark red cherry shaded lipstick, for her lips to tout the b*tches and fooks in a separate set of frames.

 

 

Her lover in the video's been inebriated, and he sees multiple copies, holograms of her, in different colors, dancing around him in a circle.

 

 

The video ends with the motel room unlit, the next day, all glum and she looks at the camera singing the last few lyrics, and finishes putting on her makeup and painting her nails, a heart backdrop frames her, similar to the Powerpuff girls

 

 

and fades to pink.

 

 

I'm thinking Justice Joslin can be her lover in nostalgia too
