  1. Yeah! It's October I think it's reasonable to have a Ghost Stories thread!  :flutter:

YES! Cool! I just started one in the Lana Thoughts subforum. Apparently, a Lana fan tried taking LiB rights from Lionsgate, only to open the file and have it be a Chainsmokers and Halsey track. They're driving to the LA to the Moon tour now, but encountered something less than desired, all while Cherry was scratching itself on loop, as the hunties kept hearing questions of where the LFL instrumentals were going to arrive --

  2. I guess as an abstract or something, in the spirit of Halloween, I thought it was a great idea to start a thread where we got all of our Lana based fears and turned them into a ghost story of a narrative. Let's make it legendary, let's make it echo for all of Lanaboards, current and future gens to read, and maybe empathize with. Maybe  :really: It works like this, just post a comment connected to the one before yours, and the next member will continue it. Insert a fear tied to Lana's career or artistry that would legit make you shiver or cringe, make it scary.

    So let's start  :wipe:

It started a few nights ago, on the 13th, last Friday. A fellow hunty who loved Lana was making his way across the net, was trying to hack and forge the rights of Life is Beautiful from Lionsgate back to Lana del Grant all to no avail.

Echos filled the room, and as he opened the file on his music app, there it was. Closer.mp3 by Halset and the Chainsmokers.

The Lana hunty almost fainted to the floor, and began streaming LFL on repeat til his senses came back to him. He then phones his friend, and decide to follow through on their way to the LA to the Moon Tour, driving to their city to where their fave was to perform

Listening to Cherry, and having a portable pole at the back of the car attached like a giant man magnet of an antenna, the audio bluetooth grazed a bit, and set the track on a loop during it's hook. Without the b*tches and fooks  :wowcry: It's like all those questions of the LFL instrumentals just echoed from the faltering bluetooth system as it went. The hunties knew not what to do, then suddenly, in the distance they saw . . .?

  3. no matter the mood im in i find myself still drawn to paradise, it's just so simple and clean. i know some people say it was rushed or hollow but i dont see it. Blue Velvet, Ride, Gods and Monsters, Body Electric, Burning Desire, Cola, Blue Velvet, American are all incredible. Yayo is a great song but it is a better overall fit with AKA- i wish she kept it a little messier and added back in the background vocals after the 'tunnel lined with yellow lights' bit. It's just an experience, it somehow encapsulates the golden hour of 5-6pm during late summer early fall in which for a few moments, the sky is pink and the sunlight is golden.

i love it so much, honeymoon is a close second- borderline equal.

    This post. Perfect.  :oprah3:

  4. Title.

So after releasing LFL, Lana's got 5 major releases through her artistry. LFL's pretty current, more socially aware, and having a shift in overall tone to her past work. Lots of timeless tracks the list goes on.

Or can't you help going back to Honeymoon? With it's cohesive soundscape, and its sentimentality? Admittedly, I think Honeymoon is the most true to self album for Lana, and it's just glamorous and so picturesque.

Ultraviolence? With all its rage, and how iconic of most of its tracks? The West Coast surf sound, the lines of grunge, the addiction and the still reverberating sounds to so much of the record? The feel?

Is it Paradise? The desperation and magnetism of a life searching for the very concept of it? The hot tropical narratives to it? The anthems that somehow both enliven and refract feelings of faded glory? The films?

How do you see Born to Die now, after the extension of Lana's catalogue? Is it a classic? Do you remember the first songs she made and put out first as Lana Del Rey to the public?

Which album do you always find yourself just getting lost in, more so from the others? Which songs can't you forget?

  5. So on another more serious note, it just occurred to me that another sort of perspective kind of just emerged when it comes to White Mustang. I mean in the track, Lana fell in love and lust with a killer with his hot ride, got in too deep but left it. I mean we were sorta accompanied with Coachella when it came to the friction between the West and NK, and now post Summer, we get a glimpse of a veiled love story. It's this kind of awareness that's just difficult to face head on the very second sometimes.

  6. I'd write a record with her, have genuine conversation about her life, and then probably just bounce ideas off with her. I'd def ask about Life is Beautiful for the others on the forum, and Yosemite, and the music video visuals the list goes on I'm losing track of thought I'll stop there  :yesnod:

  7. The only thing I don’t like about lust for life (song) are the lyrics , don’t get me wrong, they’re fun and cute, but I find them repititive and light, I’d love something more deep than that... but otherwise the song is a BOP <3

See I understand what you're saying, but I guess for me, whenever life gets too deep and everything, I just end up overthinking and spiraling in my head, so it was nice for a change to just have things less layered if that makes sense.

It's so crazy how we as fans get any Lana news last. It's just..peculiar how that works  :azealia:

  8. Was lurking and I don't know if someone pointed it before (sorry if) but while checking UO

"Comes complete with a download link to the visual album."

Re-Release as a visual masterpiece confirmed :creep: n

I think someone realized this like pages ago, but it was discussed that it was just the digital album. I wished it was true too.
