  1. Usually when I think of that line from Get Free, all I can think about is that sort of growing void inside of you from everywhere that just spreads, so I can totally see where she's coming from if or when it comes to how Amy was .. Like out of the black, and into the waves of blue. I've really grown to love Get Free because of that first, and the rest just sort of colored itself a beautiful track on the record. What a closer  :dafuq:

  2. Can Lana please have an actual video for Beautiful People? I was thinking somewhere along the lines of this (minus the dancing and body doubles)

Imagine that soft glow of lights, and smoke, Lana wearing white, Stevie, black. A band in the background, Lana sitting on a grand piano, while all the while the camera just rotates around them. Close shots to each verse, and fingers to the keys and arms to the drums. Backing vocals with a differently dressed Lana at another part of the stage like a twin, or triplets. As the song ends, the camera just backs away, to then Lana just closing her eyes and looking to the audience, Gatsby billboard style and then looks away and down montage style

    It needs to happen --

  3. I agree! The melody in the verse "there's something in the wind" is so chilling and creepy, i paint a picture in my head of some old enchanted forest and an innocent princess sat by the pond, who ends up tasting the water and becomes something dark.. her hair turns to black and she starts to see life as it is (symbolises depression) idk.. it's just a masterpiece :wowcry:

Also... i think lana's next record might be all lizzy grant (vocals and style-wise) because at the end of Get Free it's as though her Lizzy vocals get louder whilst her Lana vocals grow quieter.. it could mean she's putting her LDR persona.. (voice, sad songs) behind her and is stepping back into Lizzy but with a happier sound.. that would be quite a smart followup

Direct the video. I wanna know more. I usually just see her in an ornate palace, or some place similar to Wuthering Heights, and have her just twirling around and mirroring her reflection in a rippling lake, snow would start to fall, and she somehow just ends up taking a drive to the beach before morning.

I'd like for that to happen, her earlier work had such a soothing, tranquil sound to it and I think she's becoming more present with society in her music, so definitely her perspective has shifted a lot. I think that what happens next with her life, and how that sort of touches other people on a widely relative way, is how she'll start her next record.

I hope she makes more of LFL tho, so much potential.

  4. Taste! One of the best songs on the album... we don't talk about it enough tbh... also i think it's some of her best storytelling

I think so too, that and 13 Beaches. But back to Change, it's just got this fragile sound to it, that somehow sort of ushers in courage and strength to keep going. I'll admit when I first heard it on her insta, the verses weren't to my liking, but everything just fit in beautifully. It's so solemn

  5. Yeah! It's October I think it's reasonable to have a Ghost Stories thread!  :flutter:

YES! Cool! I just started one in the Lana Thoughts subforum. Apparently, a Lana fan tried taking LiB rights from Lionsgate, only to open the file and have it be a Chainsmokers and Halsey track. They're driving to the LA to the Moon tour now, but encountered something less than desired, all while Cherry was scratching itself on loop, as the hunties kept hearing questions of where the LFL instrumentals were going to arrive --

  6. I guess as an abstract or something, in the spirit of Halloween, I thought it was a great idea to start a thread where we got all of our Lana based fears and turned them into a ghost story of a narrative. Let's make it legendary, let's make it echo for all of Lanaboards, current and future gens to read, and maybe empathize with. Maybe  :really: It works like this, just post a comment connected to the one before yours, and the next member will continue it. Insert a fear tied to Lana's career or artistry that would legit make you shiver or cringe, make it scary.

    So let's start  :wipe:

It started a few nights ago, on the 13th, last Friday. A fellow hunty who loved Lana was making his way across the net, was trying to hack and forge the rights of Life is Beautiful from Lionsgate back to Lana del Grant all to no avail.

Echos filled the room, and as he opened the file on his music app, there it was. Closer.mp3 by Halset and the Chainsmokers.

The Lana hunty almost fainted to the floor, and began streaming LFL on repeat til his senses came back to him. He then phones his friend, and decide to follow through on their way to the LA to the Moon Tour, driving to their city to where their fave was to perform

Listening to Cherry, and having a portable pole at the back of the car attached like a giant man magnet of an antenna, the audio bluetooth grazed a bit, and set the track on a loop during it's hook. Without the b*tches and fooks  :wowcry: It's like all those questions of the LFL instrumentals just echoed from the faltering bluetooth system as it went. The hunties knew not what to do, then suddenly, in the distance they saw . . .?
