How do you guys interpret the "Hello, it's the most famous woman you know on the iPad // Calling from beyond the grave, I just wanna say 'Hi, dad'"? I might be really stupid, I don't know, but I think of it as something literal - she video calls her dad and Lana, being a celebrity, is the most famous woman he'll see on that tablet screen. And, being depressed and maybe staying in bed all day (a "grave" or "tomb") is like being dead in a way, and she does her best just to call her dad just to hear him, maybe let him soothe her or just to let him know that she's still ok.

I kind of imagine HIAB to go crazy somewhere in the song, where the beginning of the chorus (“happiness is a butterfly...” starts to echo, the layers of her voice blend into each other but not in rhythm you know (kinda like Gaga’s “half psychotic, sick, hypnotic...” in Just Dance, but softer) and then we get some weird guitar picks a la Bowie’s Space Oddity (you know, when the spaceship gets lost) and everything just gets surrealistic and experimental and chaotic, but in a good way, and...! And I know it’ll never happen. It’ll probably just be another piano ballad, lol.

Scroll through the page and you can see my summaries, but:We know that the album, Wasteland, Baby!, will be out sometime soon (early 2019) and that it has been influenced by the political situation in the world. You can hear this in Nina Cried Power for example. The songs on the EP will be on the album but NCP might get more names in the lyric for the final album version. He has said that “there’s a doom and gloom” in the album, so I guess we can except some heavy songs.
