What is wrong with Carmen? The only things I don't like about Freak are the "blublublublublu" and "stranger than a stranger" parts. I love the chorus.

I often see a lot of slander for Carmen and Freak which I will not condone.

But it's a matter of taste. Someone who likes more urban/pop music will definetely think of BTD and Honeymoon (I agree it's not urban, but it's slow pop) as the best albums by Lana and think that UV is not that good. Someone who likes music that is darker or more bluesy, with more electric guitars and stripped-back production will like Ultraviolence and AKA better. LFL... well it has both sides (which I really like). I think Cherry is a song that has both styles which is why it has a lot of appeal for the entire fan base

"I've been acting like armaggeddon" Armaggedon means conflict or a battle were something is destroyed, so she's been acting in a conflictive way (maybe also having this conflict inside of her head), because the guy held her just a little too tight in his arms, which made her think that the relationship was something serious and good, but in reality it wasn't. At least that's how I've been taking this line since the song was leaked released.

So, if she actually makes a Get Free video it would be sad af. I would be curious to see the visuals for the "There's no more chasing rainbows" part. On the other hand, she once said that she wouldn't like to contribute to the general feeling of doom that is very common lately, so maybe it wouldn't be so dark. But most likely we're not getting a video for GF so there's that Wow, beautiful legend. Pretty and talented is not a very common combination nowadays.

I think she talked about the song in the Amoeba thing and she called it "The Next Best American Record". I kinda like "Architecture" tho.

As someone else said (I don't know if it was in this thread), we know waaay too much to be happy about the decisions made. She also took too many directions, this is her "Happy"/hippie/witchy/sci-fi album with trappy/acoustic/sexy songs. But I actually like that about LFL, it has variety. This really is aimed at the fans, and the whole fanbase has different musical taste so it's like she included songs for everyone which is cool. Anyway, I'm not saying anything new lmao So this happened with Honeymoon? Like everyone was very happy at the beginning and after two months of the release everyone was like "omggg this is a snooze fest!1"? (seems realistic but I can't know since I wasn't even lurking here when HM came out)

Nowels said that it was a solo song (actually one of the first songs written for the era) and then Lana decided to bring in Rocky. I mean, the solo demo may exist somewhere but I don't really think we're getting that.

Why exactly is this place kinda dead? Is it because everyone is back at school? (sloppy reason today since it's Saturday) Did the hype die when the Best American Record WM's video came out? I'm really curious about the next BTD LFL Tour's set list. If she keeps performing BTD I hope it's only like 3 or 4 songs: VG, BTD and SS (just for the sake of it because those are the most popular) No Blue Jeans, no OTTR (sorry there are better closers) and no Lolita. I hope she officially includes Salvatore from HM and from LFL: 13 Beaches, Heroin, Get Free and WTWWAW (the high notes make it seem like she won't ever sing this one). And as a surprise for older fans maybe she could include a new unreleased song or one from AKA. But probably I'm being delusional and she's doing the same set list with 2 more songs lol.
