CD Universe just confirmed that Summer Bummer is no longer being released tomorrow. I know Lanz never announced it, but I'm honestly kind of over this unbelievably dry and messy era.

According to LanaDReyCrew, the Cd website that said it was coming tomorrow was confirmed and the song length has leaked.

This is why Lana is my favorite artist. But yeah, I mean on one hand a "surprise" release, if you can even call it that, from Lana is common. She dropped TLY with the album pre-order the night she announced the tracklist so that could happen again. But i don't know what to expect at this point. Something has to be coming soon. We're almost 20 days from the album release. And although the tracklist may be real, that album artwork is definitely real. It's an exclusive new Neil Krug image and the LFL font. I'm confused. I don't have high hopes.

I made up the idea of an entire video for this song in my mind and would play it through every time I listened to it with headphones. It's a shame it never got an official one but the song is cinematic enough itself.

Yes, I picture her gossiping to her girls while holding a cocktail in one hand and dangling a cigarette around in the other and then slamming the glass down at the end of that line before the pre-chorus explodes!

YES. I love how in the verses she sings in a tone that almost sounds bored like she's stoned and is singing about something redundant.

Off To The Races will forever remain my favorite Lana song and probably my fave song of all time. The iconography in the lyrics, the vocals are so haunting and the way she goes from the deepest end of her range straight up to a childish head voice is euphoric. I also love the samples she uses like the kids yelling "up here! Over here!" in the beginning. And yes, the orchestral outro is so beautiful, I always pictured acrobats swinging around on lace ribbons in the air. It's such a beautiful song and it takes you to so many different places in just 5 minutes. Her magnum opus.

I'm here for hip-hop Lana if her team capitalizes on it by getting her a radio deal but that seems unlikely at this point. Otherwise, I just want beautiful mid-tempo ballads like on UV and HM. However, I'm not judging until I hear the album. Lana rarely does wrong.

Not V Magazine saying Lust For Life is coming July 14th. What the hell is this era? An absolute mess!

The dramatics. There's still time for Lana to surprise drop SB, which wouldn't be out of character and the album is not delayed. They even confirmed the July 21st release date again in V Magazine which won't be on newstands until July 6th, 14 days before album release. It's coming.

I find myself worrying that Lana's silence means we will not be getting Summer Bottom or the pre-order this week but then I remember how she announced the honeymoon pre-order and instant-grat "Terrence Loves You" the night before it went up on iTunes so I'm going to hold out hope until then. Regardless, we know it's coming July 21st so it all has to be coming pretty soon. Trying to stay positive here. Anyone have thoughts on whether we're getting this new summer smash (and hopefully the preorder) this week? Yes? No? Why?

I think it's a culmination of things. The same people seem to be continuously complaining. They ask for any bit of promo. Finally, V Magzine is released with an interview, confirmation of Yosemite being on the record, a snippet of the studio version of Cherry, new flawless photos and the same people are still not pleased. At this point, we'd be much happier people if we just took what we were given, regardless of how little it may be. I don't know why people keep expecting so much info from Lana when she's clearly not giving anything away this era. People have the right to complain and people have the right to find the complaining redundant.

Either it was renamed or that tracklist is major bs. Also, that snippet of Cherry has me so hyped! Those of you who still somehow find a reason to complain are just ungrateful at this point.

I totally get what you're saying. However, I feel that assuming the album was delayed from the May 26th date is not a stupid idea simply because "Lana never announced the date herself". What HAS she announced herself this era? We found out about the May 26th date the same way we originally found out about the July 21st date, Coachella's release, the tracklist, the Summer Bummer single release, the cover, and the album pre-order; all from sources completed unaffiliated with Lana and her team. This being said, I gauantee that the album was originally slated for a May 26th release. Her team simply never announced anything about it, the same way they haven't with anything else this era. It's shocking.
