  1. I think radio would be more than happy to play her. The SS remix literally went #1 on Pop Radio. It's simply that 1.) most of her music isn't radio friendly (this may be different because hip hop is huge right now) and 2.) her team has literally never put in a radio deal for Lana. They almost did for Love and then pulled it last minute. If they'd get her a radio deal, it could do well. But I doubt her team will get her to go out and do a radio tour.
  2. From what we've heard so far, I think this could do well at Too 40'or even Hip Hop radio. I wish y'all weren't so negative. It's a different style of music, so what? I'm glad she's experimenting a bit.
  3. I'm totally fine with this as long as we get a monumental, big chorus in Groupie Love which sounds promising but it will be a major let down if both of these tracks have very simple chorus IMO
  4. I can already tell I'm gonna be underwhelmed by SB on first listen but then probably be playing it constantly a couple months down the line. Groupie Love will definitely top this. I hope.
  5. "DONT BE A BUMMER BABE. Mmmmmmm. BE MY UNDERCOVER LOVER BABE... uh mmmmmmmm" That little drip drop effect in the chorus sounds a bit too silly for me. Let's keep it sophisticated Lanz.
  6. OMG LANA SHARED A NEW SUMMER BUMMER SNIPPET https://instagram.com/p/BWVy3QIF9RS/ It sounds really interesting. And she finally announced that they're premiering on BEATS!
  7. I just finished rewatching every Lana Del Rey music video starting with Video Games and ending with Lust For Life and I'm sweating. I pray she does more visuals this era. The BTD era (oops, sorry... book) had 7 music videos, all high-budget (minus VG) and they were so intelligent. I miss the extremely cinematic Lana. I love the LOVE video but I need Ride / National Anthem- level slayage, A sexy video for SB or GL or a heavily political video like NL for GBA - AATBWII could continue the BTD legacy.
  8. Tbh it's intentional but I'll retire it if it annoys you.
  9. I agree. And I have a feeling it'll age like wine. The melodies in the verses are so rich and distinct and I love how the production builds to epic proportions during the final chorus and how she shifts the perspective from extrospective and uplifting to introspective. I kind of hope that on the album, especially since it's the opener (which is exactly what I had hoped, with LFL following it) I hope that the bass-plucking intro is a little longer and the final "don't worry baby"s at the end are extended like in the video.
  10. Love getting notifications left and right when Becky from high school or fuckboy Jackson go live every 2 hours but when Lana goes live, my phone neglects to ever tell me (not like it was anything exciting).
  11. Oh em gee are you gonna be in pain while listening to LFL for the first time?
  12. Lana looks so adorable/ sexy/ beautiful / fabulous in her Instagram story. Are those pasties? I see you mama Lanz. SB / GL / Cherry short film incoming. edit: not pasties but her makeup is on fleek, definitely for a new video or photoshoot
  13. What if in "white mustang" Lana is referring to her significant others "big white dick". Stallion and mustang are sometimes used as slang for a guy who is "hung like a horse". Fran vibes
  14. LFL to drop 3 days after my 21st birthday!! My friends a DJ at a club in my hometown and I don't care what I have to do, I'll do whatever to him I have to to make sure he's playing SB and GL every time I walk my ass into the club.
  15. I mean obvs it could be a drug reference, but it actually makes more sense in context to space and roads. There is no other mention of drug or substance use in the lyrics so interpreting white lines as so is kind of presumptuous. Still, Lana is the queen of double meaning
  16. I gave doggo a pat on the head for you babes
  17. They're beautiful, maybe Lana will feature one in a video this era (come thru 13 Beaches / Summer Bummer / Cherry short film)
  18. My interpretation of the line "white lines and black beaches, miles in between us" in #SB is that she's referring to the "white lines" painted on highway roads. And black beaches are usually very spacious and beautiful, which makes sense to refer to there being "miles in between" her and this man. It's like there are a million highways and beaches separating them. Oh and OT but I literally drove two hours north of my hometown to visit a real life "black beach" simply because Lana seems to be referencing them a lot this era and I wanted to experience the real beauty of one before the album drops. I can see why she references them, they're jaw dropping, gorgeous. I took some pics for y'all and wanted to share them but they're too large to upload here so check them out on my vsco (this isn't shameless promotion, I swear. Just remember some people asking what a black beach was): http://vsco.co/robbiescottbaker
  19. I'm so confused by the 24 and Groupie Love comparisons. I don't hear the resemblance instrumentally or melodically??
  20. I have to work on July 21st now and am going to a stupid ass J Cole concert because I made the mistake of buying tix for my friend for her birthday and now she wants me to come with fml. I'm heavily debating just waiting one more day and listening to LFL in full on the 22nd. I need to dedicate an entire day to Lana when she puts out new music, I'm so extra.
