  1. ‪I have a feeling that Summer Bummer and Groupie Love will be like Freak and Art Deco, running into one another and sounding rather similar. However, I hope they're diverse.‬ Still sad we aren't getting Cherry.
  2. I'm excited we're getting Groupie Love because I have no idea what to expect in terms of sound which makes it exciting. I'm hoping ASAP is only featured as a co write and not as a vocal because releasing the two songs with ASAP on them is odd. What I'm wondering is why people ASSUME it's a cover? Can she not write an original with that same title? The lyrics to the Velvet Underground song don't fit the record and I can't picture her voice singing it. Not to mention, she almost always ends her albums with covers and this is the third to last only. Lana hasn't mentioned covering that song or any song even once so no one has any reason to believe it's a cover.
  3. Can someone answer? Why is "Coachella - Not On The Album In My Mind" listed as 0:00 running time? Was it perhaps remastered for the record or maybe they're considering giving it the boot?? a gay can dream
  4. I have a feeling Heroine will be a masterpiece simply because of these meltdowns over its title. If anyone can make a beautiful song out of the title "Heroine", it's Lana. I doubt she'll glamorize it. It'll be more deep, hard-hitting. Reality is that Heroine exists and many people have fucked up their lives because of it. Lana has always been one to illustrate the perspectives and the things that no other artist will (such as the perspective of the other woman), maybe this song will bring awareness to the drug's harrowing effects and illustrate the pain of being an addict.
  5. I wasn't here either but I remember people made fun of the title
  6. Those two running times for SB and Groupie Love better be radio edits that they're sending to radio or I'll be pissed. Something commercially successful has to come from this album when it's her most trendy yet with this hip hop influence. And the fact that White Mistang is her shortest song to date kills me. How? But, staying positive. Don't knock it til you hear it. Guys maybe ASAP has an uncredited feature on Groupie Love. Like maybe he sings a super short part or just sings/raps harmony or in unison to make it cohesive with SB cuz it hasn't shown his name in the title
  7. Y'all, c'mon. We're sitting here dragging certain tracks merely for their titles when we haven't even heard a single second of how they sound. These could be some of her best tracks for all we know. Lana has always had bizarre titles. We all dragged Shades of Cool and even Brooklyn Baby and those are the highlights of her best album to date. As for ASAP being on two tracks, that's not ideal cuz I prefer solo songs. Otherwise it takes away from Lana's vibe but we have to hear it before we judge. I'm sure we'll all be praising this album in a year.
  8. Okay so the tracklist is official. I'm sorry y'all. I will eat my words. Yosemite probably didn't make a cut unless it was renamed which would make no sense to me. Sad times.
  9. Just realized there is a black beach near my hometown. I know where I'm headed for my LFL first listen.
  10. She doesn't want to blend in to the masses for the sake of being basic or trendy. She wants to be able to leave her home without being followed and she doesn't want to stand out too much. She doesn't enjoy the fame much, it doesn't fit her personality.
  11. I just fear for the endless meltdowns next Wednesday if, when the tracklist is released, there is no Yosemite. I'll be so surprised and will have to avoid this site for a good week to keep from getting second-hand depression.
  12. Ooh interesting, except I think she doesn't want any persona because personas are identifiable and unique to one person. She simply doesn't want to stand out. So she'd jump get rid of anything that could separate her from the masses.
  13. Like I said, if they ended up cutting it off the record, they would've had time to edit out the small parts where she discussed Yosemite. Either that or someone from Lana's team would likely say something. I'm not believing a tracklist until July 12th when Lana's announced it herself.
  14. lol I just remembered how V Magazine wrote July 12th as the release of LFL and t turns out that's the day of the pre-order and the two new tracks. It makes sense now. Still a dumb mistake.
  15. I'm so confused by some of y'all who keep having doubts about Yosemite being on the record simply because of some rumored tracklist leak. For all we know, that tracklist is utter bullshit, yet Lana has mentioned Yosemite in literally every single interview she's done this era. There are plenty of other songs on the record that she hasn't even mentioned. Do you truly believe that, of all the tracks on the record, she'd end up omitting the one track that she has been hyping the most and claims to adore more than the rest? And even if these interviews were done awhile ago, of Yosemite was suddenly cut from the records, I'd like to think her team would reach out and have the editors cut out the parts of the interviews where she's talking about Yosemite. Yosemite will be on Lust For Life. A fact. Bookmark me and stop the meltdowns.
  16. My favorite Patsy song. I noticed Lana's reference straight away ❤
  17. The only reason she's avoided leaks is because she never announces anything so there's no hype beforehand.
  18. Like a year ago. When was the last time you ate chicken nuggets?
  19. I enjoy the LFL cover. It's not really iconic but the colors are really patriotic which is classic Lana and her on a cover is significant. I just don't like her outfit. It's a bit bland but overall the cover is simple and cute, the hate is all bandwagon and makes no sense to me.
  20. Sadly, you're probably right. However, it was a rushed production so maybe they went back and added more elements to make it more cohesive with the album. Also, she DID change the production of WEST COAST after it was released. Remember how the vocals were much more layered originally and the drums were messier? The album version is more clear. Many artists have further remastered their songs for their albums.
  21. Honestly, the production on "Love" is some of her best. That simple upright bass pluck is iconic and would be a great way to start the album but also a great way to end it. "Lust For Life" is boring to me. It's a cute song but it's the one song by Lana that doesn't make me feel something, if that makes sense. All of Lana's music makes me feel electric and almost "high" in a sense but this track, probably because it's a feature, isn't interesting to me and it feels like I chore when I get myself to listen to it. "Coachella" has a beautiful, iconic melody that was destroyed by lazy, rushed production and some questionably ironic lines. If they'd remaster Coachella to have a more cinematic, orchestral sound, it would be beautiful. Maybe if Rick stepped aside and Lana had Benny and Emile produce more tracks for her. I mean, afterall, they helped with Love which is the best thing to come out of this era so far.
  22. I'm glad I can appreciate Lana's music in all it's trippiness and intelligence without some skull-numbing drug. Hugs not drugs. No shade.
  23. When driving down a beautiful road, specifically one overlooking water or a beautiful scenic. I also love listening to Lana when walking slowly around the woods, all by myself. Lana's music commands omnipresence and it demands to be listened to intently and thoroughly. It takes a smart mind and a creative heart to appreciate her music fully. Just the fact that we can have in-depth conversations about the best environment to listen to Lana's music proves how atmospheric and elegant it is. It's not just music, it's a feeling and a mindset.
  24. I have a feeling we'll get Albums until Lana is rather old. However, they'll become more spaced out over time. I can see her disappearing around age 40 and then coming back with a new album around 46 years old lol. She's clearly already lost all interest in promoting and performing her music so that worries me. She'll probably always be making music and putting it out though.
  25. I agree. My first thought when I heard that interview of her saying "there are currently 18 tracks" was "that will probably change". An 18-track album is very long and considering Lana's spacious song lengths, 18 songs at the length of "Love" wouldn't even fit into a compact disc. I interpret the 18 track comment as she had written and recorded 18 songs that were all vying for a spot on the album and since then she has likely narrowed it down to 16 or fewer tracks that she feels best fit the record. I'm not saying the 18 track album isn't a possibility, but some people keep acting like it's a for sure thing when it simply isn't.
