apparently she sang six songs, of which at least one was new, and then said "am i getting kicked off? i'm getting kicked off" and walked off stage... so it's just another day for us little ferraris!

she's busy studying at the Sky Ferreira University of Releasing Your Sophomore Album

if any little ferraris are going to sky's primavera set PLEEK record whatever unreleased songs she ends up playing they'll probably be the only new material we hear until the next single in 2025

i was kinda hoping for her ray of light era tbh - a 90s electronic/trip hop influence, fuller vocals, lyrics about religion/spirituality and family (which she kind of already did on blue bannisters but oh well), or maybe even some uptempo tracks like sky fits heaven or nothing really matters

i think why the song might be labeled bland is because the production is virtually the same for the entire song, except for the second pre-chorus where the percussion changes for a few bars. besides that, i can see how it feels a bit one note or confusing, structure-wise. personally i like the song but wish the production varied a bit to give the verses, pre-chorus, chorus, and post-chorus more delineation!

when i open up the single on spotify and see that i pray for rain is included as a b-side

THIS. also, i'm really hoping that the amount of hype and support surrounding her since the march announcement pushes her to release something after don't forget instead of making us wait another three years for the next single

i can't tell if we won or lost today.

the lyricism is on the same level as marina...not the family jewels or electra heart eras, but love and fear/ancient dreams eras

hcinkwinrn is in my top 3 crash songs so i wouldn't mind if charli had george daniel produce her next project! i'd love to hear her over electronic/pop production in the vain of the 1975

i only [REDACTED] to it twice in case she pulls a downhill lullaby and this is the only new song we get from her for the next three years

i mean it's a mixtape so the diy approach is somewhat intentional... at least it's not like the nfr "short film" which was just 10 minutes of lana roaming around suburban los angeles

the theatrics going on in this thread... yes, we're all upset/confused/disappointed but it's literally not that serious? yes, she is an artist and held to the standard of releasing music on a relatively regular schedule, but in reality she doesn't owe us anything. all these quick releases from lana and charli have made you gays beyond entitled. (trust me, i've been tired of waiting, but writing entire thinkpieces about how she's a drug addict or a troll and a pathological liar comes off as... really fucking weird.)

like i said just take 1999, bioyl, and white mercedes off of self titled and it's more digestible from top to bottom!
