God it was suuuuuuch a time! I have vivid memories of seeing the videos being released, one by one, ugh, I'd love to go back and live it again knowing full well I wouldn't ever see someting like that. LOL. Oh those were the days. I feel like a old lady saying this but I remember when Tropico premiered and I get all emotional. How long have you been listenin to her? Yeah, same. Tbh the l4l era was a mess. And her approach to it was underwhelming. Same x2, but then again we get mad and this is just a complete Lana typa behavior. Oh well, what can we do... I'm mad tho bc I can't live off only those songs. Momma pls feed me I'm hungies. HUMILLIATING.......

One of my favorite bands. They're from LA, California. Lana once posted a video of them with the caption "Transfixed by Warpaint" which is... a great description of the effect they have. Had the privilege to see them for free when they came to Argentina in 2015. Their first EP, produced by John Frusciante, was published in 2008. They've been a band since 2005, though, and are currently recording their new album! Super talented girls. Their voices are heavenly. I'll leave some of my favorite songs, in case you want to give them a listen. If you already do, let's discuss! Yeah IDK. I mean she can do whatever she wants but I do get it and it kind of annoys me too, but what can we do, it's obvious she wants to turn into a hermit artist, like Captain Beefheart or whatever. I guess she's also over it, she just doesn't care anymore. I do get you tho, just the other day I was looking at candids in 2012/13, like that one shirt that says Raisin' Hell, oh, god, that was such a cool street style but at the end it's not Elizabeth and it's obvs she's not 'Lana' anymore. I did hate like pretty much every fashion choice she has done for LA to the Moon, tho. She did use some BEAUTIFUL dresses that I'd buy if I was famous and rich as she is. But like, those mismatched outfits, dear Jesus... It's awful. It's weird because I loved pretty much everything she used in the other tours, always loved her color choices. But I don't really care that much about the fashion choices or candids though, some are just... awful, I don't like the make up nor the hair either but that's kind of secondary now that I think abt it. The "laziness" is crazy when performing. Seems to me that she's not that happy doing that anymore, I feel like she likes that people are having a good time and that's about it. I hope I don't come off as rude, although I might be. I'd hate it if someone was judging my fashion choices or make up like this, but I am wearing a hoodie backwards and mismatched socks.

I want her to do a cover photo sitting on the backyard of her house, or standing somewhere in the tracking lines of Hollywood Hills, I just need to feel that Laurel Canyon vibes. Want my Joni Mitchell's California vibes. TT_TT

(thanks again) actually been going through this thread for a few months now. i'd like to weigh in with the favorite lyrics so far! i actually like them, haha, i know it's not like... her best work relating to lyrics, but she's channeling her inner joni mitchell + obvs leonard cohen and i like it. i also loved the poems. i'm happy she's happy and i'm still super hyped abt it, although i do agree w the impatience. mac: i think this is my favorite, lyrically wise. i loved it so much when it came out, i couldn't believe it after the mess that l4l is. such an underwhelming project really (in my opinion, of course). does anyone listen to the smashing pumpkins here? the intro made me get mellon collie and the infinite sadness (album as a whole) vibes, also thanks to the sea visuals: You lose your way, just take my hand / You're lost at sea, then I'll command your boat to me again / Don't look too far, right where you are, that's where I am ugh, i love it. this is how to disappear: i liked this one so much too! God. Hi. I'm new, and a hater: I can't stand the dancers. Never will. What's up with them? It annoys me so much, they add absolutely nothing to her and it make a no sense to have them there... those moves are always so awkward. And I know you can dance to her songs, it's possible... but WHY?? I can't believe it! If they were at least back up SINGERS like that's even more fitting that just teo girls dropping on the floor during cherry with a turned off microphone. I hope she ends it soon bc it's annoyed me so much. Ultimate cringe. Also hate p much all her performances from the l4l era. Wish she'd sing for once. Also, l4l is a forgettable act. Not even the best songs are that good.
