this is not about wanting to find her problematic lol how are you guys not seeing why people are disturbed by this? you can't chalk it up to 'you hate her anyway' or 'others did worse' in this case

the fact that literally, literally nothing has happened in the three months since the announcement

i don’t think she should adapt to what her peers are doing in any way! if her inspiration was to do country, i’m happy she followed it refraining from making the kind of music she wants to make simply because others are doing it would be being determined by the trend. i’m happy with her doing whatever she feels like doing no matter what the ‘trend’ is also you guys know she’s been making country music for years and some songs on the album were made in 2020-2021… so we literally know this is not her being a trend chaser

i don't really care about whether or not people are going to think she's late to the party... she's been making those country songs for years so we know she's not following a trend, not that it really matters as her music is always unique aren't you guys curious about her exploring this genre that she's always been interested in, knowing that those songs have been finished for months/years

i'm all for her living her life and i agree with what you said but still, i would be disappointed if this album were delayed again (which many users here seem to think it will be), as part/most of it has probably been done for years, as it was announced several times, etc. saying this doesn't equal considering her to be a song writing machine, fans also have the right to voice out their disappointment when they're consistently being lied to that being said, we're used to it now and i still think it's coming in may despite the radio silence

umm the 10-12 shows she did last year where she literally recycled the same setlist from 2023 and didn't change a single thing must not have taken her too much time she even managed to be 30 mins late every time lol. i don't think her touring really impacts her songwriting (she wrote dozens of songs while touring in 2013) obviously artists are allowed to take breaks and to not be too inspired sometimes but i do agree this is a long-ass wait, and a lot of chaos and uncertainty, just for 13 songs and it is true that ocean blvd was finished in september 2022, plus several trpws songs must've been finished by then already (assuming she did start making songs for it in 2020-2021, as she implied) all of this to say that it better not be delayed again it's high time these 13 songs came out

these long-ass pre-releases must be tiring even for her, like, does she even want to put out henry come on anymore... i'd be so over the stuff i made years ago and wouldn't have the energy for the whole world to discover it now like i don't think i could be enthusiastic about something i made three years ago and put it out now i would really be over it being in a headspace where you're about to release something in january 2024 (assuming that's what was going to happen, as there was this polaroid picture and stuff) and releasing it more than a year later... i wouldn't even want to do it anymore tbh

i don't think lana was referring to these 2018 songs when she said she had been working on lasso for 4 years. timeline-wise, those would be songs from 2020-2024, starting when she was making country music with nikki lane. so those 2018 songs most likely won't be on the album, but as of now, nothing indicates that the 2020-2021 songs that were considered for lasso have been scrapped (which i'm happy about, because i've always been curious about them)

i don't think it's a problem she announced it in november. i don't think it's postponed either. as many users already mentioned, it wouldn't make sense for us to have a preorder already. if she hadn't announced anything in november we would be complaining about the drought (as we were before she did, and as we are now, but at least we know it's likely to come out in may). i'm sure she wishes the album could come out sooner than in may, but there's the vinyl production. the actual problem is that she announced an album in january 2024 without knowing where she was going. she really needs to stop this shit that keeps happening again and again. either you announce something and you deliver it or you just don't. it's just ridiculous when we get to the point where we get an album 1 year and a half after it was announced (if it isn't postponed again, which it might be). otherwise we'll keep having prereleases than span over a year and a half or even more, and when you think of it it is ridiculous henry not being out yet despite the snippet dating back to over a year ago... this is beyond ridiculous

this is really boring…. thinking of where i was at in january 2024 just makes the whole thing absurd lol. what do you mean she posted 40 seconds from the song over a year ago… what did she even do it for. i know it isn’t worse than it was with happiness is a butterfly but this behavior still needs to stop being normalized, she really can’t get it together and it’s tiring tbh

in my opinion she could get rid of a&w (she barely sings and there's like 10% of the song), bartender but we all know she won't, i think doin' time isn't adding much and also west coast if she won't sing any of it lol. maybe the grants and nfr could go too. i think the others are sort of essential though i hope there are at least four new songs which doesn't seem too unrealistic, she added four songs from ocean blvd for her 2023 tour also i'd love for her to sing old money

guys the album is out in 4 months and a half it’s not out of character for her to stay silent right now… it’s definitely coming, we should enjoy the fact that it’s most likely set in stone now, chances are we’re finally in the clear she clearly announced it early to build hype for the festival but couldn’t put it out before may, that’s it

henry come on has the same beauty as her chelsea hotel cover does but it’s high time he came on because it’s been a whole year

i don't think so... there wouldn't have been a link for pre-order if it wasn't all set in stone. it's probably been done and mastered for months now. i think it'll be released the exact way she intended it to be, when she announced it last month. this time she's got to have finished it when she announced it (especially considering that her first announcement was a year old already) tbh i just can't see how there could've been a pre-order link for an album that was still in the making her thirteen tracks DID come together the only thing that's making you guys doubt is the fact that insiders don't know as much or don't want to say as much as they did in the past

i think there's no way we're not getting the preorder in January since a link was up

that's right, it would've been strange for the one song that is going to be on the setlist for eternity not to have been teased when you think about it, it's beautiful that she cares so much about one of the last songs she did with Rick

this was literally crazy there was only Bartender that we hadn’t heard anything from plus at the time we’d still get those snippets from a random website which i believe hasn’t occurred since then… but at least none of the songs she teased were scrapped also at the time there weren’t those damn 6 months of vinyl production so she was able to release it in august while fuck it i love you had been done in early july, imagine what it would’ve been post covid

it's kinda like the insiders aren't trying to say interesting or exciting stuff this time around but just to flaunt their knowledge without actually saying anything anyway i'm very excited for the album and i trust Lana's vision

especially given how vague and contradictory they've been so far henry is not upbeat that's not a surprise, she also released let me love you like a woman and blue banisters as first singles so i can't see why it would be weird for henry to be the album's first single. actually she hasn't chosen to release her bops (cherry, cinnamon girl, tulsa jesus freak, fishtail / a&w / taco truck / peppers) as lead singles since honeymoon

thank god we’ll be out of the woods soon and we know it’s all set in stone now, but the henry snippet being one year old is just ridiculous

her going country actually makes a lot of sense, it’s neither strange nor unasked for. she’s been saying for years that she was interested in the country genre, plus she wanted to do something that would be lighter than her last records, which were very personal and revealing. i am sure she wouldn’t be very happy if she knew how her choice to make a country album is commonly perceived, as if it were ridiculous or something. it's in the vein of her past work, some of her songs have had country twangs and her definition of country is extensive so it obviously doesn’t mean any major departure from the sound we’re used to. actually we haven’t have heard anything from it, except that snippet of henry come on which sounds absolutely beautiful and the fenway song which everyone adores. the album is done and we’re getting it either way, we might as well stop questioning her artistic choice until we can actually hear the songs i’m sure we’ll be in a much better disposition for whatever’s to come if we just collectively stop acting like her choice to go country is ridiculous, and it’s also more respectful to her as an artist

this era is definitely super dry and it feels like it’s been like five years since it started thank god we’re finally getting the album soon and hopefully this won’t happen next time

to me her plans are very clear and this doesn’t mean anything. her team probably saw that we noticed the links were up, which they were unhappy with, so they took them down like they did when chemtrails songs appeared on shazam. it doesn’t mean that the album is postponed or anything, if anything the fact that a link was up means that it’s all set in stone now there’s no change of plans, in all likelihood, based on what happened the last few times, we’re going to get the preorder soon (which makes sense if the album is out in may, it would be around 4 months between preorder and release, like it was for ocean blvd) nothing is delayed or postponed and we are getting this album without any additional chaos

aren't you interested in those 13 songs don't you want all the chaos and confusion and cryptic declarations we've had since january not to have been all for nothing

it’s a great thing there’s a link anyway, it means the whole thing is set in stone, which many people here didn’t think it was. also, for 3 out of the 4 last albums she released, pre-order followed within 3 days… so this is quite likely to be very good news for us!
