she is the one who teased it 3 months ago, people have every right to be excited because it might be on the album -

she’s definitely going to release it before stagecoach -

the abyss is not one of the songs she wanted to put out before stagecoach, she said 'starting with henry' and henry is going to be released 2+ months after the abyss. if she sticks to her plan we're getting at least 2 songs in the next weeks, which makes it likely for henry to come very very soon -
Lana to release new song "Henry, Come On" with Luke Laird - LEAD SINGLE
Future Jazz replied to Elle's topic in New Releases
it’s a bit random to use a super recent picture for a song that was made a long time ago when she looked different, i do agree the vibes are different. i think it’s great that she kept viewing henry as a single through time, despite the hesitations and the changes she must’ve envisioned for the album -

now that i think of it, it made sense for her to announce the album in november. it was probably the time vinyls were starting to get pressed, so she knew they would be done in may. this radio silence isn’t too different from what we got before the preorder for blue banisters or ocean blvd dropped, or even for nfr / chemtrails. she’s always been very silent and secretive in the months before the preorder dropped (think of the drought of september-december 2022, early july-early september 2021, early november -late december 2020 etc) i don’t think she would’ve abandoned the album cover she must have had in november. apparently she kept most of the songs on lasso, more importantly she’s been sticking to the idea of choosing henry out of all her songs, she’s been sticking to it for at least 15 months now. so it does seem like the album is the result of choices she has more consistently believed in and more consistently stood by than all the chaos made us think she has. which makes it likely for the album cover that must’ve existed in late 2024 to still be the one she’s going to use anyway im quite confident she wouldn’t have waited till now to shoot the cover because if she has, it means we won’t get the album till at least september and this would be nothing short of absurd considering these songs were literally made years ago, like two, three, four, five years ago and we’ve been waiting for way too long so if most of lasso was kept, as i think it was, i don’t think she wouldn’t have shot the cover early enough for a may release to happen. -

i doubt there is no album cover yet. why? because she must’ve believed in that may 21 date when she announced it. and vinyls take 6 months to press and allegedly the album has been mastered in september (although she said in late october she didn’t know where it was going but let’s ignore this for a bit). if she thought the album was gonna be out by may she must’ve thought the vinyls could start being pressed in… november, or december at the very latest. so it’s very likely she already had the album cover when she announced the album in november! i don’t think she would’ve waited till now to shoot. henry, on the other hand, did not need to have a cover that was ready months in advance as there are no vinyls to press for the release of henry. therefore she must’ve waited till february-march to shoot the picture for it, as she always likes to use very recent pictures for her single covers (if i’m not mistaken, the picture for summer bummer was taken after the album cover, probably same for let me love you like a woman and arcadia). all of this to say i think the album cover has been chosen months ago and she’s sticking to it. if we do get henry soon, and another song in april, the album could come out in may as she said it would. apart from the DROUGHT due to her radio silence, absolutely nothing indicates it has been delayed. we haven’t had any information from insiders that would indicate this. imo, it’s still coming in may and this whole thing was just her being her -

exactly. it’s literally the only song we know of and she teased it as a single several times. why act surprised. we’re finally getting something after months of radio silence. this behavior is really getting on my nerves lmao stfu if that’s all you have to say -

so we get nothing for another 2 years even though this one was announced 14 months ago? exactly, i’m not sure i see what we’re doing wrong to be honest, she’s pretty much doing whatever she wants and no one even asks her about the album when they meet her so idk how the fandom is the problem right now -

how hard is it to just drop songs that have been done for years and that you’ve announced several times just release it already it’s literally done it’s not like she’s gonna do promo anyway -
Lana to release new song "Henry, Come On" with Luke Laird - LEAD SINGLE
Future Jazz replied to Elle's topic in New Releases
well i don’t know about that, BoZ kept giving us information over months or even years and nothing indicates they got into trouble because of that specifically. what i’m really tired of is the ‘the album was mastered in september lol’ or ‘who said that lmao’ tone which implies we’re making up stuff or we’re stupid for not being aware of something they deem obvious. we can definitely do without these posts especially when the actual ‘info’ is non-existent. it’s bad enough that we aren’t getting anything from lana, i don’t think it’s good to get used to getting crumbs from insiders on a condescending tone, but that’s just my opinion there’s nothing that indicates that such ‘trolling’ means anything either, i’m not sure any of these people have solid information on anything related to the album. anyway how would we know! -

Future Jazz replied to Elle's topic in New Releases
imo if ‘insiders’ are only going to be cryptic and/or condescending they shouldn’t bother posting because we’ve kinda had enough this tone that implies that we’re making up stuff other insiders said or that we’re saying nonsense is very much uncalled for -

if i remember correctly people were already kinda desperate for this album before she even ‘announced’ lasso in january 2024 like it sort of would’ve made sense for her to start a new era then she isn’t a songwriting machine though and we should never criticize her messiness and her lies because we’ve had many albums in the past, right guys? -

september 2024 seemed so far away when she announced it may 2025 seemed so far away when she announced it lucky us, still getting nothing every time after such a long wait -

i do agree there’s something that feels very off when we’re not getting anything from lana or the insiders and the album is likely to be released more than 1 year and a half after it was announced -
The Right Person Will Stay - Pre-Release Thread (OUT: May 21st, 2025)

the fact that everyone and their mother is complaining about the wait in this thread while also getting on their high horse to say she’s not a songwriting machine when people say they’re disappointed the album is likely to be delayed again -
this is not about wanting to find her problematic lol how are you guys not seeing why people are disturbed by this? you can't chalk it up to 'you hate her anyway' or 'others did worse' in this case

i don’t think she should adapt to what her peers are doing in any way! if her inspiration was to do country, i’m happy she followed it refraining from making the kind of music she wants to make simply because others are doing it would be being determined by the trend. i’m happy with her doing whatever she feels like doing no matter what the ‘trend’ is also you guys know she’s been making country music for years and some songs on the album were made in 2020-2021… so we literally know this is not her being a trend chaser -

i don't really care about whether or not people are going to think she's late to the party... she's been making those country songs for years so we know she's not following a trend, not that it really matters as her music is always unique aren't you guys curious about her exploring this genre that she's always been interested in, knowing that those songs have been finished for months/years -

i'm all for her living her life and i agree with what you said but still, i would be disappointed if this album were delayed again (which many users here seem to think it will be), as part/most of it has probably been done for years, as it was announced several times, etc. saying this doesn't equal considering her to be a song writing machine, fans also have the right to voice out their disappointment when they're consistently being lied to that being said, we're used to it now and i still think it's coming in may despite the radio silence -

umm the 10-12 shows she did last year where she literally recycled the same setlist from 2023 and didn't change a single thing must not have taken her too much time she even managed to be 30 mins late every time lol. i don't think her touring really impacts her songwriting (she wrote dozens of songs while touring in 2013) obviously artists are allowed to take breaks and to not be too inspired sometimes but i do agree this is a long-ass wait, and a lot of chaos and uncertainty, just for 13 songs and it is true that ocean blvd was finished in september 2022, plus several trpws songs must've been finished by then already (assuming she did start making songs for it in 2020-2021, as she implied) all of this to say that it better not be delayed again it's high time these 13 songs came out -

these long-ass pre-releases must be tiring even for her, like, does she even want to put out henry come on anymore... i'd be so over the stuff i made years ago and wouldn't have the energy for the whole world to discover it now like i don't think i could be enthusiastic about something i made three years ago and put it out now i would really be over it being in a headspace where you're about to release something in january 2024 (assuming that's what was going to happen, as there was this polaroid picture and stuff) and releasing it more than a year later... i wouldn't even want to do it anymore tbh -

i don't think lana was referring to these 2018 songs when she said she had been working on lasso for 4 years. timeline-wise, those would be songs from 2020-2024, starting when she was making country music with nikki lane. so those 2018 songs most likely won't be on the album, but as of now, nothing indicates that the 2020-2021 songs that were considered for lasso have been scrapped (which i'm happy about, because i've always been curious about them) -

i don't think it's a problem she announced it in november. i don't think it's postponed either. as many users already mentioned, it wouldn't make sense for us to have a preorder already. if she hadn't announced anything in november we would be complaining about the drought (as we were before she did, and as we are now, but at least we know it's likely to come out in may). i'm sure she wishes the album could come out sooner than in may, but there's the vinyl production. the actual problem is that she announced an album in january 2024 without knowing where she was going. she really needs to stop this shit that keeps happening again and again. either you announce something and you deliver it or you just don't. it's just ridiculous when we get to the point where we get an album 1 year and a half after it was announced (if it isn't postponed again, which it might be). otherwise we'll keep having prereleases than span over a year and a half or even more, and when you think of it it is ridiculous henry not being out yet despite the snippet dating back to over a year ago... this is beyond ridiculous
