I wish she'd work with Michael Gira. I admittedly haven't listened to any of his recent work due to personal reasons, but he's insanely talented & creative. I mean he's a sleazy piece of shit, but she likes them like that anyway so I doubt she'd mind. I'm sure she'd love him. I fucking hate him, and I'd never say this to his face, but he's brilliant, and I just know if they made music together it would be mind-blowing.

I don't think anyone would be complaining about her leggings or her lack of eyeliner if she was open & honest about everything, and active on social media. All we've gotten is half-truths, lies, confusion, and radio silence. That's what feels like a "fuck you"

I don't think she'd mind. When you make a conscious choice to keep an album release as hush hush as possible, and do everything you can to kill the hype, you're obviously okay with it not selling well. A commercial failure or two aren't going to affect her lifestyle, she can afford not to care. Her priority is her vision of how she wants things to go down (low effort, stripped back, chill, minimal involvement). And I may not like it as a fan, but as an artist, I respect that. Her label on the other hand, whose priority is profit, probably isn't too crazy about her little plan, which is why they're making her do some interviews and shows. Just my opinion.

I'm not being pessimistic for the sake of being pessimistic; no one could possibly be as awful at planning surprise releases as Lana & her management have been, if this was in fact meant to be a surprise release. Getting into fights with fans? Insulting random teenagers? Flat out stating the album isn't finished and that it will probably take a while until it is? That doesn't sound like a fun little surprise to me.
