What we know so far is that the album isn't even finished because "good music takes a while to make" according to Lana's manager. We are not even close to getting the album, we do not have a track list, and they most likely don't have a cover yet.

I get what you're saying, but it all comes down to putting people on pedestals. Sometimes they encourage it, sometimes they straight up work for it, but we still shouldn't do it. Admiration is fine -in moderation- but unironically stanning people is just setting yourself up for disappointment. You can't expect people, no matter how extraordinary they seem, to keep exceeding your expectations, to maintain a flawless image and conduct. I agree with the parts of your post I highlighted, but I feel like that's something we should make peace with, because...it happens. It sucks, but it happens. People lose their spark, people give up on things they loved, people change, their taste changes... I wish she would go back to being as amazing as she was 3 years ago, and then become even better, but like, she's only human. She has her issues, her flaws, and her life. I don't know if this is just me losing interest, but I think it's better if we just let her be. She's almost always been a random girl doing random things. Maybe her driven, ambitious, fiery side that made her famous was just a phase. She will always be an artist, you can't stop being an artist, and she's still very creative. Her music is still good too. I'm one of the few people who are not sucking VB's micro penis dick, but I'm in love with everything else she's put out during the NFR mess era. I love MAC, HTD, Hope, and what we've heard from Cinnamon, IYC & HIAB. I think NFR is going to be great, sonically. I think we just need to...redefine her. And instead of constantly lowering our expectations (which is quite frustrating), we should just stop having any. If helps, pretend she retired. Then every new concept, appearance or video will be a treat, no matter how lackluster.

We can't know for sure what's going on inside her head or her heart, but I do believe she's depressed. I hope she isn't, but I can feel it. Thinking she's happy because she's smiling or laughing with her friends is a bit...short-sighted? Depression doesn't take away your ability to momentarily experience and/or display joy. She's not in a good place and it shows. It's very common in people who struggle with depression to give up on their appearance, and feel too drained to make an effort for anything. It would explain a lot... At the same time, it's really frustrating how society expects women to put on makeup to look "presentable". As someone who wears a full face of makeup to go to the freakin supermarket, I can tell you, that shit takes time. It takes effort. I do it because I like it, but I know that for many women it feels like a chore. Not everyone is a makeup enthusiast. Maybe being bare faced makes her feel free. That said, you definitely bring up an interesting point that I hadn't even considered. It's true that many fucking psychopaths men approach beautiful, beautifully made up & well dressed women, with the intention of slowly tearing down their confidence and brainwashing them into giving up on their appearance. It's fucked, and I see it all the time. The fact that Lana tends to date homely losers average looking men who are less successful than her, makes this entirely possible. I really hope it's not what's going on though, she deserves so much better than this

All music is real music. But there's no denying Ariana is as basic as it gets. It's not about the songs being "dumb", at least not to me -I don't need allusions to quiet collusions born of confusion to enjoy a song. But Ariana is as bland as its gets, she's like a caricature of a fluff-headed thot pop princess, like a character from an SNL skit. I'm not hating on her because I'm a pseudo-intellectual snob. I'll gladly listen to Ayesha Erotica singing about hardcore anal gangbangs picking up emo guys at hot topic, or Lana singing about Jimmy buying her coca cola & peach lip gloss. There's just something about Ariana's whole vibe that's dumb as fuck. sadly

I don't think it's about "having the balls" tbh. Any meeting between Lana and an LB user would be a chance encounter, not an appointment or something. So she's out shopping, having a coffee with her friends, eating, working out, having fun at a concert, etc... She's not offering any personal meet & greets, she's just going about her day minding her own business. What are you going to do, follow her around and have a three hour long convo? Spend the day with her? No. You're going to have 10 seconds - 2 minutes tops w her, for a quick hi and maybe a pic. And don't forget, you're already intruding & potentially bothering her (even if she's too polite to show it). How much of an asshole would you have to be to go up to her & force her to pay attention to you just to shout "bitch where's NFR/LIB/Yosemite" in her face? It doesn't make you ballsy, it makes you rude. No one is "confronting" her here. No one is talking to her here. She is not here. The only fans who chat with her on a semi-regular basis aren't even here, as far as I know (the insta kids). So I'm not really seeing your point here.
