Omg this just in! The next release off Lana's upcoming record Lust for Life will reportedly be a buzz promo single "Spinning Around (feat. G-Eazy)", a cover of Kylie Minogue's dance-pop/disco hit from 2000, which won the 2000 ARIA Music Award for Best Pop Release. With lyrics like "I'm spinning around/Move out of my way/I know you're feelin' me 'cuz you like it like this/I'm breakin' it down/I'm not the same/I know you're feelin' me 'cuz you like it like this", it'll be interesting to see if Ms. Del Rey has managed to turn the cheerful hit of the Australian pop diva into a moody declaration of moving on with possibly a sound similar to her own track "Freak" from the 2015 album Honeymoon, or keeping it joyful with a more psychedelic twist with the American rapper G-Eazy throwing in a completely new verse of his own. The cover is supposed to drop on June 19th which marks the 17th anniversary of the original Minogue song, along with an official preorder for the new record Lust for Life, out July 21st. Only time will tell if the two are working on a visual and if we'll see Lana hopping in Minogue's iconic golden hotpants grinding against G-Eazy in a more or less smoky club scene! sorry if I gave anyone a heart attack xo

First I thought they just did a few songs together and like she said, picked up a couple for the record and this one eventually made it. But on the other hand... what if she means "we" as in her and her team picked up the best songs for them to hop in? Having two collabs with the exact same people on one record would be sort of funny (and I'm hoping that's not the case) but what if we're getting a song with A$AP and Plaiboi Carti and a song with only A$AP featuring on it? Or whatever idk. Lana pls give us answers

Sharing snippets of her music has hardly anything to do with her mental health, she seems excited for the record if anything and just likes to tease us because she knows some of us are just about to die to get it already - and she probably wants it out already too but it's obviously not that simple. Also I wouldn't call sharing some snippets from her own will leaking... I love how she's teasing us after being basically mute for a couple of months, though frankly I'd be better with a full song or two since hearing these medium quality snippets where you can only hear her vocals clearly (and that's not even the case with Daisy Chains for me tbh) doesn't quite do the trick for me. Hell, even when those Ultraviolence snippets first came out they didn't do anything for me (well, except for Brooklyn Baby in the trailer) but ever since I got to hear the full album it's been by far my most favorite album of hers to this date. That said I'm still okay with her sharing these snippets from her car, as we'll most likely get at least one full song before the album comes out. And as much as I too am hoping for a preorder and tracklist to come soon, the record coming available for preorder right now at some places doesn't mean we're getting an official preorder announcement and tracklist from her team just yet, considering how it's been available for preorder for over a month in some countries. Unless she proves me wrong with these strawberry moon theories - and if she doesn't, let's just wait another 10 days or so and the announcement will be much more realistic by then as the record is only a month away.
