  1. i want to cry so hard dominatrix lana had me shook like i know when i listen to the songs i like to switch her into a certified top who doesn't feel at ease being commandeered but like yooo she actually giving me gentle femdom visuals??? girl bless you thank you jesus i can die happy and like they live in a 70s cement weird structure in the future

lana give me my wig back

(i know it's a reach about the domme thing but i'm so happy to feel blessed) thank you mommy :icant:  <3

  2. still waiting for the collab with snoop dogg

was he talking about french montana's All for You?? ... it's more of a makeshift mashup but lana really sounds good with rappers

I really really want to see those kanye west tweets but they're not there anymore and there aren't any screencaps on google image (except for the uv promo)  :deadbanana:  :deadbanana:

  3. "watching Miguel undress" in Video Games

"Likes to watch me in the glass room, bathroom

    J'adore Mama,
Slipping on my red dress, putting on my make up
    Glass film, perfume, cognac, lilac
Fumes, says it feels like heaven to him"

but i'm sure there are others  :hooker:

  4. all the scenes of her together with the guy (the few snippets we're shown, of a bar? indoors? his flat? and a parking lot) are very symmetrical :O looks like she's using the same proportions of a renaissance painting, he's on the ground while she's standing up behind him i'm really puzzled

i thought the background music + close ups of her driving definitely had those kill bill vibes  :flutter:

  5. smh not y'all wanting lana to get stuck on depression just for your music pleasing

oh lord please don't let me be misunderstood indeed   :lanasrs2:

heroin and get free (even love & cherry) are songs that i love about the record that give me the dark vibe i'm looking for, some kind of closure about the weary moments. i don't want lana del rey crying and depressed after being mistreated by events i love that it's was a phase in her life and she's moving on, i want a more mature approach in the way she tackles the dark moments of her life and how and why she should go out of them as in more of that theme ... the last three songs do that in lfl but i wouldn't mind if she went further because i know there is more to explore and anyway she could do what she wanted i'm not sending her a letter with instructions

    edit

since i'm saying what i want, i wouldn't have minded something with the Maha Maha vibe for the witchy themes and please don't put words in my mouth it's annoying

and i've always found the daddy thing creepy & disturbing but i respect her freedom :crossed:

  6. You really bout to get your hopes up when Lana literally said that Get Free was the jump point for the next album?

"Out the black, into the blue" there's probably going to be very little darkness. I mean it's Lana so there's bound to be SOME..but I doubt it'll be much

i lit just said i would love that, not that my hopes were up because of any chance or logical explanation... i just enjoy exploring darker themes not for her (or me as a listener) to wallow in them, i find them healing

  7. i'm just gonna appreciate lana coming to terms with the current events, some people might not like her political wokeness esp since she seems to be late in her realisations (i mean believing in the american dream and saying feminism is irrelevant under obama ... sigh lana ily    but you really are so privileged lol) so i'll be enjoying how this goes and observing what it means in terms of her evolution  and anyway like someone said her tweets (at least the iconic ones) can be even found on google image (or she'll reupload them? if it's possible?)

  8. I don't think Lana owes her last label anything? I'm sure that her contract either expired or they were bough to out (keep in mind they owned the rights to the first album for years....and only rolled out a digital release for a short time)

She also now owns the rights to all of the AKA songs, so I don't imagine she owes them much, if anything

There was a small run of a physical CD?

Only to sell at gigs and to give as promo to people. The hard CD was not released. We put a lot of money into getting her live act together, marketing people, promotions. I'd say we easily spent ... take the $50,000 on the budget, take the advance we gave her, and then you can double that all up again. Anybody that says there wasn't a certain amount of investment here is not telling the truth.

Did you recoup all the cost?

We have a deal with her going forward. We don’t have ownership or control, but we have participation in that old record. And we have participation in her new records. That’s how you do these things.

What's the stake in the new records?

We have a participation going forward in her first couple of records going forward as a result of her getting out of her deal. And we still have serious revenue participation if she does anything with her old one. I hope she puts it out. I think it’s a great record. To clarify a few things about Lana. Or Lizzy, whatever you want to call her for this story. One, she’s a great artist. I feel really bad she’s getting a bum rap for that. I thought of her as a “once in a decade” artist.

Couldn't find it at first, http://www.mtv.com/news/2695337/lana-del-rey-first-album-5-points-records-interview/ she still had ties going on after she got out of the deal and she still has today if she wanted to release the AKA songs

  9. Yeah, good memory! Thanks. I particularly agree with your last paragraph.

Thank god I didn't come out wrong then  because when i was saying she wasn't going to do something that she didn't want i wasn't implying that lana has disappeared to learn korean so she could release a kpop album in 2018.

I know what a contract entails, and Lana if i'm not wrong, is still also somewhat paying back her old label? But I was only implying that what her labels demands of her most of the time is aligned with what lana likes to do in the first place and she has a huge amount of artistic freedom compared of what i know of the music industry. If we believe what she and Dan say about uv that means she almost produced an album on a whim, during two weeks with a man she met at a party even tho her people at interscope/polydor wanted her to work with someone else (her words). She didn't even know about Dan's music in the first place. I mean that's impressive. Also she pulls a uni student card by including Change, a song at the last minute, a day before submitting her work - on a record that is already one hour long- and scraps away quality songs she already announced because they finally didn't correspond to her vision ...  :worship:  :worship: She at least gives the impression to be very in charge

  10. If I remember correctly, Dan Auerbach talked about it. He said that Lana kind of put up with people at her label but he didn't  and that's why Ultraviolence ended up the way it did. Correct me if I'm wrong because I don't want to make stuff up. Not saying with Lust For Life it's the same, but it can happen.

the way i remember it, dan wasn't used to so much hand force from a label and Lana was shrugging it off while he got really angry about this kind of management. (This was after BTD/PE, it was another time.) Her label asked her to meet with another producer and she said yes but went to the meeting too late and the producer she was meant to see (one of Adele's) had time to listen to what lana and dan had already done (which her label hated) and they liked it so much they didn't want to touch it. Then suddenly everyone at the label started seeing the light liking the tracks/production and lana, like the boss she is, continued on her merry way undisturbed without putting a fight. Someone on top at interscope even said that others requested a single/hit from lana and he was like no, you get what you're going to get; that she had her own vision and everyone else only had to follow her way. How I see it, Lana downplayed all that and got the sound she wanted without much of a fuss.

Even the management at her indie label company (AKA) said that you couldn't make lana do something she didn't want, that she was headstrong and determined enough. For me, Lana has the talent and the means to have come up with huge hits by now if she wanted. I do think she has some pressure, like everyone of us from work and school, but not what we imagine or to the same level as the biggest pop stars/rappers. Otherwise I can't explain how chill she is. Plus she works so much and she releases (#1) albums at a higher frequency than most these days  :flutter: lana is the true boss  :smokes2:
