  1. i used to watch le grand journal all the time during 2011/2013 (still managed to miss this) i recognised the lights of the studio plus this iconic performance, sometime around 2012 with bobby womack and damon albarn
  2. ur that kid that some misplaced soul might find too dramatic but then like everyone else realises you have a good heart, you're fun and have high standards for the things in your life. you're very much into music
  3. Sacrilegio. His first two album are classics, people will always remember I actually haven't heard of it O: (I have most of his discog but haven't followed all his features on other people's tracks tbh) I only recognize this adam levine collab
  4. LB is doing Kendrick dirty with only 7 replies , kung fu kenny has been a rap legend from the get go (I listen to damn almost everyday, it cures my headaches tbh and wakes me up at the same time)
  5. lana reinventing Americana, the grammys don't deserve to be graced by such a legend
  6. yes, like always i knew to expect ed to win, bc apparently he's more popular and had a huge hit, but seriously lana had guest appearances that other pop singers wish for, was well received from the critics, got a #1 from BB and was well awaited by the fans
  7. starboy won best urban so does lana get some credit?
  8. i'm in france and this works actually https://www.grammy.com/
  9. does she hear our questions??
  10. the velvet suit and those shoes! they look good together but the clips don't work on her

  12. Remember when Lanz single handedly saved hip-hop when she released SB and GL last year? And now for the first time it's the most popular genre in the US, detroning rock music. Coincidence? I THINK NOT.

    DYLYN

I'm so happy for her! I've known her lowkey for a few years now, can't wait to properly sit through and listen to her first record
  14. couldn't help but think about this
  15. if there's something i really wish for is lana to do movie soundtracks again! And I usually keep my hopes to a null point
  16. they commented on yt: they would have loved to have their work sampled on BTD, it seems. on the other hand with the greek song it's mostly people noticing similarities when minor keys are used
  17. french press already nonchalantly saying this isn't her first time ripping off music and recalling the video games/old greek song accident during her interview for Canal + yeah: i had to read articles about her claiming she's representative of the porn industry bc of video games once. the constant judging of her looks, people claiming she didn't write gf anyway like "all the other pop girls" she probably added some words and left the writing to "professional" songwriters, and so on it's depressing. lana may be used to it i guess, and from day 1, but it's true maybe there should be a thread exposing all the sexist coverage of her career but it'd be really saddening probably to keep it up for some
  18. this isn't about you, people are just pointing out the plain fact that lana doesn't need more biased mediocre coverage - something that has caused lana to retreat on promo and tv appearances
  19. I don't know exactly, could be. (But I did read it was about CR, on an article about G rr Martin and his criticism of fanfiction and its copyright infringement )
  20. Having slept on this, I think that of course no-one, even lana, isn't above not being sued - ever; but Lana was gracious enough to give up to 40% which is above being generous and they still didn't respect her goodwill. But I do think, and hope, this is a case of Lawyers being Lawyers. I read somewhere that copyright laws in the US are structured in a way that if you don't defend your property at all times, no matter how inconsequential, then you lose the rights to defend it when the owner finds it fit to do so (or maybe you just weaken your case, I'm not knowledgeable about cr laws, ..). So maybe after all it's only RH's label who is behind it and not the band itself, and RH decided to just let them do and control the situation. So I do hope we can tone down the RH vs Lana stan war, not because it reflects badly on us but because Lana doesn't need to receive hate from another fanbase, thankfully it seems minimal for now. EDIT: I'm happy Lana still retains her resolutions/sentiments about the song It was a noble gesture to let the fans know, she knows we care
  21. this pop star for the selfie generation I hate stuff like this, it sounds disrespectful and judgmental like they can't make an objective professional review without finding sneaky ways to look down at her, despite the high rating. This is why I got into Lana, people are weirdly ashamed of liking a record so they try to find other ways to tell people they are self aware.
