I just wanna thank everyone that shares updates and relevant Charli news, you're all lifesavers, doing God's work

I hate when people write about music like this. You must be tons of fun at parties, sucking the life out of everything. It's like people forget how to have fun and start analyzing everything with such a critical eye and a snide attitude. I remember the first time I heard Girls, I was SO happy when I saw Charli come out on stage, I was having just as much fun as she had being up there. That's what music is about. Yes there's business involved, but that's just the world we live in. Loosen up a little

Honestly Sucker (the title track) was such a badass fucking STATEMENT.

^ somebody better talk to her before I do cuz imma hurt her feelings

Sis... just because it has a cute streaming profile and sold a cute number of copies doesn't mean it's iconic. We stan quality here at lanaboards, and Cardi's music is far from quality (I s2g if she includes a ratchet ass lyric like "these hoes pussy stink" I will start a war ). Plus Bebe's a trashy sellout so ummmm... idk maybe her verse will snap and yeah can someone post the MØ demo? I don't remember listening to it

If Charli's verse on Girls has the ugly CharliTune™ on it I will literally unstan I WANT TO HEAR HER VOICE
-
If I remember correctly, she literally said she hates men, and that it's okay because "it doesn't hurt them." I get the point she was making but she looked stupid as fuck
-
on the "people slandering Charli and her label every 5 seconds" comment, it really butters my muffin when people act like they're some sort of insider who's qualified enough to make the kinds of statements people have made on here... there's a difference between speculation and just being a twat

I would just like to say I very much enjoy miss obesicassie's absence

my favorite form of homophobia is twinks calling other twinks twinks

THIS IS TOUGH LOVE SO WE PUSH AND PULL TILL IT'S TIME TO LET GO that's such a rough demo but I'm really into the funky vibe
-
Wanna Get Fucked Up/Ring go so well together! but WGFU is clearly the skinny one
-
She literally put them both on the same vinyl LMFAO It's ok tho, I knew there would be at least one pressed Pop 2 stan sorry Pop 2 is lacking and can't compete
-
They're both bodies of work Charli put out last year, it's perfectly within reason to compare them.

Can we get rid of the "Charli is so poor omg she can't afford Sophie's production" idea? I know you just stated it as a possibility but she's not a starving artist by any means. Struggling to find her place in the current music industry? A bit. But not poor. If she takes autotune to a dreamy sound like Party 4 U and Party Party and finds a way to make it work, I actually wouldn't mind it! I would really get down with harmonies and good background melodies so that the music isn't so simple. Especially in Party Party! @ As I was listening to the video you posted, I couldn't help but imagine Charli singing background melodies on Party Party and it sounded so perfect omg MY MIND Quantity ≠ Quality Vroom Vroom has Pop 2 BEAT TASTE!!! Those are the better songs on Pop 2! "one, rose, laying on your grave cuz you, pushed, everyone away but, I'm a mausoleum, pretty like versailles, and I played it out, 'bout a thousand times, yeah" UGHH that part gets me every time

I remember being SO hyped for Number 1 Angel. I couldn't wait another day for the official release. The experience of opening the zip file and listening to it for the first time was completely unreal. The excitement and satisfaction was everything! It gave me everything I wanted and more I can't say the same about Pop 2. Sure it has some minor bops but they're just... nowhere near level of some of Charli's best work (released and unreleased). I was just as excited for it as I was N1A, but it was just a major disappointment. It's especially disappointing when I listen to her unreleased music and Pop 2 looks so basic - Pop 2 is like "Pop 101 for Dummies" when compared to the masterclass caliber of pop she's capable. Four months later and still haven't gotten used to the ugly vocal processing and the messiness of it all, and sometimes I feel like it's heralded as the "future of pop music" just because of how weird it is. It's almost like it tries too hard to be avant garde or whatever. It's not "next level", it's a downgrade. I feel like trap music was the worst influence possible. Listening to Ring and Wanna Get Fucked Up, they give off way better vibes. What would you call that, Hip-Pop? For me, "next level Charli" is pre Pop 2 Charli. She was doing everything perfect (besides playing bops that won't see an official release): bringing back good pop music in a sonically diverse way instead of partaking in everyone else's boring, uninspired, predictable, safe pop.
-
I feel like the autotune/vocal effects cheapens it a bit... and A.G. makes interesting sounds but his style isn't very diverse in terms of traditional pop vs. 'pc' pop. XCX3 felt more like proper pop music instead of a niche "next level" sound

I would absolutely melt if Charli to put some work into her vocal health to blow us all away with an intimate ballad but part of me fears that all we'll have are little moments to cherish that show us a glimpse of what her voice could've been
-
Wow ok so Queen Lizzy and Die 4 just killed me and left me dead in a ditch... and then Good Girls came through and brought me back to life. What an anthem. Such a rollercoaster.
-
I'm lost what are you talking about?
-
someone commented "When your music career is failing, dress up as another artist and hope for the best" and I honestly feel like he just came for my life
