i think gone reminds me of no angel because, besides having some compositional similarities, they both feel like capstones in her musical journey. they are just excellent pop anthems, a flex from charli, the songwriter. both demonstrate the power of pc music. and they were both highly anticipated—no angel because we had the live performance for two years, and gone because we had girls, playboy style, 1999, bioyl, spicy, dream glow, bioyl (stripped), bioyl (more remixes).

this is queer music made by queer people for queer people (ironically w/ the exception of str8 boy umru on Adam & Steve which is the gayest song on the album including the iconic line "god made me gay" and it's fantastic) and it's so good.

fav song is fReAkY 4 Life, least fav is probably live by the sword - it just doesnt really go anywhere. guyliner also is like, the same tempo and chord progression as femmebot but the "masc 4 mascara" line saves it.

charli's had one of the messiest careers of any modern pop star, can y'all just let us complain in peace? i promise you are not doing anything by patronizing us. we have all spent years obsessively streaming live recordings of her songs and waiting for release, many of which we will never hear in studio quality. we are obviously happy this one is being released and will obviously be appeased once the song is out. i'm not sorry for being impatient in the meantime.
