I mean, no. She's not being unreasonable at all, because she doesn't owe anybody anything. She makes music for herself and if people like it then cool, if people don't then that's their issue. People build up expectations, she didn't. She barely teased anything during her break, she didn't hype anything up - if people had expectations that's on them.

yes, i do. i also know music theory - it's practically the same progression. in the sense that, if you played just the chords and not arpeggiate it like she does then it's just about the same progression. and that's why everybody has different opinions. it doesn't sound bad, i just prefer the verses we have now. Emotional Machine is flawless tbh.

It's the same chord progression as Emotional Machine. She mentioned in the track descriptions she wrote EM not long after FROOT and it was a bit of a mess before she worked with BROODS on it, so it's more than likely just that early idea for it.
