Had to write this, I had to..
 
I have a Lana confession. I'm scared she is going to stop making music that I like. I'm actually terrified of it. I've been a fan for a long time now, about a year and half, and I've loved almost all her music up to today. Young & Beautiful just isn't my style. If that's what the new record is going to sound like, I'm not going to love it like I love Born to Die. I don't like the way she's described the new album.. The whole "stripped down" thing. I want more music with hip-hop influenced beats and orchestral strings and that damn loon that I love. I want more music like AKA and the upbeat songs in Born to Die. I want more Off to the Races and Diet Mountain Dew. And I have a feeling this next record is going to be nothing but stuff like Paradise Edition. It scares me. It scares me so much. I've been so in love with Lana, and I'm sure I won't fall out of love with the music we already have, but I just want her to keep making music that is interesting and makes me happy. Young & Beautiful doesn't do that for me.

Hey guys! I've spent countless nights sitting here thinking, "Wow, so many users are logged on to the forum right now, but none of us are really talking!" So, I decided to put together a little something. It's called: Lana Chats. Let me explain...



Basically, it's going to be a Tumblr where I'll post dates and times of (almost) nightly Tinychats where Lana fans from all over the web can join together and talk about Lana, her music, her videos, her style, or just chat in general. I'm planning some exciting things, like games and contests, so we're not just having redundant chats every night. All you have to do is follow the blog (http://lanachats.tumblr.com/) and watch for dates and times of chats, spread the word, and come have fun and talk with Lana fans from all over the internet. Hopefully it will turn out to be really fun! Let me know what you guys think of this and if you'll be attending the first chat

Also in TIWMUG, it says "high heels in her hand". I always thought it said "flyers in her hand" and had this image of a drunk girl passing out flyers for something on the side of the road while Lana just leans against a chain link fence and smokes a cigarette..
It's a beautiful image, I tell you. It really is.

Agree with this. I get a very strong vibe that K has influenced this song for Lana.

Radio is one of my favourite songs too. One of the more feel-good tracks from the album. I love the summery vibe, the way her voice dips between her low and high register. It's such a gorgeous song. The flute that is added at the end is divine.

Any of you have guesses on how many cities she'll premier it in or which cities will definitely be showing it?

Guyyyyyyyys. She's performing at Splendour in the Grass either today or tomorrow in Australia, which means we're finally bound to get some live footage of "Ribs", "Buzzcut Season", "400 Lux", and/or "Glory and Gore"! Maybe now that the album is done there'll be even MORE!
 
Like it's a huge festival, someone has to record it this time. HAS TO.

You know how some people get angry and they write a letter and then they don't mail it just to get their emotions out? I think that Lana wrote songs instead of doing that, like as a way to release the negative energy.  I don't know that she was really "mad" at Gaga, I just think she was an easy target.  It seems like Lana had been working to be famous for a while. She had been on the scene with a shelved album and then all of a sudden Stefani blows up.  They had a lot of similarities, namely Bob Leone, who it seems like spent most of his time and energy on Stefani.  Lana was still playing in little bars when she heard Gaga on the radio. Maybe Lana felt like Gaga hadn't paid her dues or really earned it, or Lizzy felt like she deserved it more because she had more talent or something.  It does seem like a case of envy/ sad realization that her dream may not come into fruition..at least not the way she wants it to. I think of it sort of as a ~ Why doesn't everybody like me?~ song.  And it does seem to be the point where she 'sells out' and decides to try a different style of music and even create a new name "Lana Del Rey", as Gaga did. She realized she might not be able to make it as Lizzy Grant and as her ~legit~ self.  It certainly fits the time line. I really like this song, it's so sad and desperate. What'd God give me a plan for? He never helps me do it. | Sold my soul long ago, nothing left to choose.
