What happened here?
Ajay tweeted ''ready'' hinting at the NFR reaction being posted and shortly after she tweeted ''ALBUM OF THE FUCKING YEAR''-we all thought it was NFR...turns out she was actually listening to some Aurora album and clowned everybody, then deleted the tweets. Clownery. Full on clownery
-
LMAO she wasn't trolling she deleted those tweets.
Well, guess who's joining the clown club. It's Ajay the fucking bufoon

Well, that Chuck video is obviously for HIAB, but she posted variations of that video for MAC and Venice bitch, so maybe the 3rd part is HIAB itself?
If not, then I'm pretty sure the 3 part video is definetly for HIAB, NFR and Bartender. I'm pretty sure it's gonna be released, she didn't make it for nothing right? She also just mentioned it again in todays post so for sure it's being released soon

ajays coming girls and gays
Omg I was about to post about it lol. She just tweeted ''ready?'' 4 minutes ago. Excited for THE review lol
-
Love song made me cry today. When she sings “I like to think that you might stick around. You know that I just live to make you proud” something about that just gives me chills every time.
Fucking same!! That moment is one of the best on the entire album

The Atlantic: https://www.theatlantic.com/entertainment/archive/2019/08/lana-del-rey-norman-fucking-rockwell-review-stunning/597154/
Both very positive, but I think neither counts for MC.
LA Times counts. The Atlantic doesn't
Lol, the LA Times review is already posted on Metacritic too, they gave NFR an 80

Her voice on Bartender during the "I love the little games that we play, from the valley to the beach" & "60 MPH on PCH Drive, here to Long Beach to Newport by your side" lines is exquisite.
I know right. Just the changed lyrics and her slightly different tone make it feel like almost a different melody. That's quite special
-
Just listened to this and it was another incredibly fun and cute interview. Her favourite chord is E minor
-
Spin, Paste, NYT and Drowned in Sound usually give her good scores, Sputnik will probably give her a good one too if we take that other review in consideration. Pitchfork, Consequence of Sound, tiny mixtapes and AV Club are tough ones but I'm confident about pitchfork's review because the woman who's writing it said a lot of positive things about NFR on her twitter. Anyway let's wait, I still think the album could end up with a +85 score.
She just tweeted that she listened to NFR while on mushrooms the entire day and thinks it's the album of the year so we're in for a treat lol

Y'all forget that Norman Fucking Rockwell is a summer album set in an apocalyptic world. By having a xmas song in the middle of the album Lana is telling us that climate change became so severe that winter turned into summer, and now when they celebrate xmas there's no more snow or winter because it's fucking hot and California is in flames. It's all part of the storytelling keep up with it hoes
It's fucking hot HOT, winter in the summer. How can we forget the iconic Heroin bridge.
-
Omg guys you all got me turned on talking about grunge Lana
Could it be True...
That we're all clowns? Yeah, that's definetly true
-
Wow I love this as the conclusion to the album
After now hearing the album it honestly fits the album perfectly and more so than the official - even though the official is better.
It only fits Bartender and maybe Cinnamon girl. Pretty much no connection with the rest of the songs

Metacritic-eligible review from Variety
https://variety.com/2019/music/reviews/album-review-lana-del-reys-norman-f-ing-rockwell-1203319612/
Metacritic editors will decide on a score from the tone of the review, which I'm reading as mild praise / mixed / ???
Yeah, I'm thinking it's gonna be a 70-75 score. 65 if we're being pessimistic. Maybe an 80 if we're being optimistic. Let's just hope for the best
-
Damn, I would think a B it's at least an 8, more like an 8.5. I guess 7.5 is still a good score, but kinda low at the same time.
-
white fucking hot forever...omg I'm already imagining what this album will sound like, I'm picturing heavy gritty guitars that clash and get almost chaotic to the climax (shades of cool) and loud echoey vocals layered in reverb basically I want UV part 2 I really hope this record will have passion and intense energy put into it because this is something I've been missing from her, I want unapologetic lyrics! I hope she ditches folk and piano ballads since she's done all she can with it and goes back to her calling aka becoming the queen of grunge
FUCK YEAH!! I love NFR so damn much but I'm down for some heavy grunge shit next. Maybe I'm thinking too far ahead, maybe I'm just a
-
I just thought of this but the way Lana, from wearing plain white in all her other album covers, decided to wear fucking NEON for this cover lmao. And changing the car for a boat. Gotta love her
-
I know it's been said before, but I really want her to do some sort of grunge album when she uses her voice like this:
But that will probably never happen
I know

Scores from different publications are weighted differently so it won't necessarily go down that much (although could go down more)
Oh yeah you're right. The score right now would normally be 82, so there's definetly an edge of importance between publications. Somebody said that The Telegraph doesn't count that much while Pitchfork is more important. So hopefully her score doesn't drop that much.
Pitchfork fucking liked the greatest and filly so let's hope for a high score from them. I'm weirdly so invested in this LMAO
Scores are weighted according to publication and how they tend to rank releases in comparison to the mean. IMO it might not even drop - I wouldn't count the Telegraph as any sort of esteemed music publication (despite what failed musician Neil McCormick might think) - whereas Sputnik tends to be quite critical in general so may sway more?
Copy that
-
There's the 60 from T**egr*ph, a 100 from NOW and another 100 from Sputnik. Those reviews added will change the score from 88 to 84. Not bad, but kinda surprised that even though 2 100 scores are added, that 60 one drops it all the way to 84
-
It's fucking gorgeous. I LOVE all the photos from the boat, they're so good. The other ones with Chuck and Jack and the flowers are kinda eh, but I get they're like for fun so overall, a really nice booklet
-
Holy shit 88 and it's possible it's gonna grow omg. Right now it's the 11th best album of 2019. There are still really really good reviews not updated yet. GET THAT ACCLAIM QUEEN

Not them saying ''it's still her best album'' when they previously ranked BTD, LFL with a 4 and UV with a 4.3.
They also gave Honeymoon a 3
Well, I guess it's still fine..right?
