I listened to the entirety of the hearings today at work. My heart just breaks for Dr. Ford, the two other women who have come forward, and anyone who has survived sexual assault. After her calm, collected, credible testimony, Kavanaugh's whiny, angry outbursts and refusal to have an FBI investigation, surprise, surprise! They're still going to have a vote tomorrow, and he's probably going to hold a lifetime position in one of the most important positions in the U.S. I haven't felt this sad about politics and the state of our country since the day after the 2016 election. We have such a long way to go.

I’ve decided that The Family Jewels is Marina’s Honeymoon album. I love EH and Froot, but besides 2-3 songs, I’ve never been a huge fan of TFJ as an album, until I randomly decided to listen to it today, and it’s like it all clicked for me. IMO it’s very much a mood album like Honeymoon is - you have to be in a certain mood or state of mind to really appreciate it to its fullest. Not trying to sound pretentious, just publicly appreciating a brilliant album and a true queen of cynicism. I can’t believe we could have new music from her in just a few days!!!
