Overall, VB is still growing on me, but damn, her vocals sound amazing. I really see this album being her baby, even moreso than Honeymoon. You can tell she has this aura of confidence in who she is and who she's grown into as an artist. I feel like this album will be the most Lana one yet.

So it sounds like she's going to lay low and take time to heal for a while (and possibly work on new music!). I wouldn't be surprised if we don't hear anything about a tour until the end of this year or early 2019 at this point. Of course, I totally support her - I think she should drop breathin' as the next single this fall, and then take all the time she needs for herself - but I just hurt for her so much. This era was supposed to be her "comeback" of sorts. The entire Sweetener era was about light and sweetness after hard times. And then this happens. Maybe she'll even split the era into 2 parts - Sweetener, and possibly another album next year with any music she writes over the next few months - and combine them into one tour?

Is this similar to the New Music Friday playlist that updates every week (or is this what you're talking about)? MAC was on it today, and VB/Song 2 will probably be on next Friday's. Being on that playlist two weeks in a row would be a pretty big deal for her. I'm sure there are people like me who listen to the playlist every week to discover new songs/artists, so hopefully she'll gain a few fans (or at least, attention) by being on it. I feel like so many people still only know her from BTD era, and many would be surprised/pleased at her recent sound.

I’m trying to connect the chorus to the verses. She’s obviously singing about herself to another in the verses, but is she singing from her own point of view in the chorus as well, or does she switch to another’s POV? The “I’m your man” bit throws me off, unless that’s supposed to be the man she’s singing to. Maybe I’m looking way too deeply into it? Interested to hear others’ interpretations.
