24 isn't bad… Come on guys! I kind of like it, especially all the energy it gets toward the end. -

God Knows I tried and Freak are the only new tracks I've heard so far and both are great! I hear an influence of Creep by Radiohead in the bridge of Freak. I feel like the people who disliked UltraViolence and wanted another BTD should like this album… It honestly sounds pretty similar to me. Not exactly the same, but the production is basically BTD (if it were all slow). Art Deco is extremely BTD. -

So most of you probably don't know me but I used to be pretty active on the Charli board... Just wanted to come back here to comment on Honeymoon! Especially because in the last couple months I got SUPER into UltraViolence. It's actually my favorite Lana album now. The guitar in Shades of Cool… EVERYTHING. I used to not like UltraViolence but a switch flipped and it became a total masterpiece in my mind. I haven't heard Honeymoon yet… Still waiting for it to come out on itunes. I don't know where y'all heard it But I am already expectng to like it less than Ultraviolence… But that's okay. With my expectations low, I'll go in and hopefully find some stand out moments that really surprise me. I am disappointed that the album is apparently all very slow, because what I liked about Ultraviolence is how some parts of it burst into the craziest energy and hard guitars. It can be very assertive. The bridge of Sad Girl, Shades of Cool, her cockiness on Brooklyn Baby… I was kind of disappointed with Music to Watch Boys To. I expected some guitar in it. It's too bad the guy from The Black Keys wasn't involved in this album at all. anyway… Hoping for the best! Terrance loves you is such a gorgeous song. I really think even if this album is over-saturated with slow burns, as long as they maintain that kind of beauty, they will all grow on me. -
ok so I just found the 3 Sophie x Charli songs in one of the threads but apparently there's others? (granted I kind of remember some live videos before but it was just lq snippets I think) tbh… I don't really understand Charli anymore. I'm still listening but first impression, just based on Sophies style, the editing on Charli's voice, and the lyrical content, I don't understand what Charli is doing. Why is she so insistent on making "ironically stupid" music? I was kind of hoping after Sucker she would go in a more profound lyrical direction and we could hear her voice do beautiful things… This music is kind of a parody of generic pop music. I guess Charli is still young and partying all the time and enjoying the fame though. She's just having fun. But for me personally it's less enjoyable to listen to than something a bit more heartfelt.

it's like one of the top threads in the mp3 section. PC Music dropbox. Or is a lot of this like old stuff that's been around for while or already released lol… I guess I don't know PC Music well.
-
omg who did this… I opened that dropbox and gasped. That's a LOT of leaked music… Do they have a vendetta against PC music? oh wait is a lot of this live stuff? ugh I just want to find the Charli songs, this is such a large list of music…)
-
Well I guess I picked the perfect time to check this forum, new stuff yay! (Can someone please send me these songs btw like what… I haven't heard anything new since So Over You and Red Balloon lol)

They are so good, I just realized how long it's been since anyone posted in this! I was obsessed with Slow Burn for a while and I just listened to their album "without my enemy" today and for the most part I really like it on the first listen! I think the stronger songs are at the end (Slow Burn followed by Forgiveness and I'm also liking Pop It In 2 haha I'm actually still listening to the very end of the album as I type this.) Drexler is slaying me too please everyone listen to this album. @@SitarHero @@comeintomybedroom @@Rebel @@PrettyBaby @hundreddollarbill @@lanadelrey everyone. (and I also love how the opening track "Death" starts with a short clip of light hearted giggling in the recording booth)

Lol I guess I always kind of knew but it didn't hit me how unique to her it is until I was just looking at the vinyl from across my room. The M is so unique to her signature. I used to think it was kind of a strange design choice but I actually love it.
-
I just realized the "font" of her name on Froot is literally her signature. That's actually pretty cool to be honest. In a way, she's signing all her albums!
-
I was on my phone... And im just sayin... You could've done it yourself with the smallest effort.
-
I was at the show where she first announced her boyfriend Jack! She said it was her boyfriend Jack's birthday. I didn't know he was the guy from Clean Bandit though.
-
Bae that's so easy to do...

Been busy lately, but a few things: She turned the party at Governors Ball in New York, and flashed her bra which was completely see through <3 Spotify recently put up a live session with her and I like it. I think a lot of songs on Sucker sound better live because they hve real guitars and drums. I really think Sucker would've sounded better and songs like Break the Rules would've been less cheesy if live instruments were used on the album so it had a rock sound instead of that Avril Lavigne faux-punk sheen.
-
I feel like she's getting depressed that she went the direction she went with Sucker and doesn't feel like this is what she wanted. Im the same age as her, she's still really young and she doesn't really seem like she is the kind of person that's meant to be a huge manufactured pop star.
-
I agree that the pink album cover looks better. I don't think her skin looked yellow in the original, it's just more dull and the new one is glowing and more "froot". It just fits the album better and looks better. I actually like her Nylon photoshoot now that I see what she's doing with it. She knows she doesn't look traditionally "sexy" in the shoot; that's why its used for an article about "feminism".
-
You said exactly what I think. This is their season to surprise people and prove that Rupaul DOES have the final say... I get why people like Pearl (he's hot and chill af) and I love her, but Violet deserves the crown more based on overall performance. The winner should be the one who did the best, it is a competition.

Omg is this what kids are doing nowadays!? I didn't even know there was a way to get free music directly to your phone... I always hook my phone up to my computer to get music...
-
I love it's current instrumental!! I've always been a fan of 80's influences. It feels like a natural progression from the 80s synthpop of True Romance to a more punk sound. The only thing I don't like is how at the end it seems like it's building into something and then it ends...
-
Need Ur Luv Famous Body of My Own It was actually incredibly easy for me. I think these 3 tracks are really better than the others (for me). Shame on yall for nobody else including BOMO... Most punk and one of the most genuine songs on the album tbh.
-
In other news this thread has changed so much.. I miss when we were all arguing about what the True Romance Trinity was or freaking out because some fuckboy on tumblr was threatening to leak an old demo...
-
The "debate" has been way too drawn out so I don't have much to say, except to add as further evidence of label control all of the alvum push backs... If everything was really what Charli wanted and not what was going to sell, why did the album suddenly get a bunch of delays when she started getting big with fancy and boom clap? Also in retrospect can we laugh at the bs excuse she gave that one of the delays was so that people could see that the album was way different and more punk than Boom Clap before it was released lol... Edit: ok one more thing though, "sell out" moves don't always indicate label control I suppose... There's a certain unknown about how much Charli gave into scrapping her creative vision to make more money... Which honestly isn't something I can blame her for. But it says something about the kind of "artist" a person is.
-
She just inspires me so fucking much... It's like everything she goes through I go through, and all 3 of her albums came at the perfect time in my life... (Actually, when I first got into the Family Jewels it was probably before I was even old enough to understand all of it) I really hope the "Times on my side, there's no rush anymore" song is on the re-release because Ive found that to be an important sentiment to me recently and I find myself repeating it like a mantra sometimes.

Is there a full untagged version? I still haven't listened because the tags were so bad...
