Kennedy is boring as shit even though she's a great dancer. Her outfits are boring, her looks overall should've got her sent home like 3 episodes ago, etc. Snatch Game was the final straw....Little Richard...really bitch

I'm honestly waiting for design challenges to push some of the top competitors out, Ru pushes all these group acting/singing challenges and then none of the winners have appeared in big TV shows or movies

I will VOMIT and send EMAIL COMPLAINTS if Kennedy's garbage self makes it Top 3.

lmao i literally don't think anyone deserves to win???

katya is funny but not that funny

    trixie failed to charm me

rooting for pearl but he's not doing much

violet is gorgeous and amazing at performing but i think that's it

    kennedy is so boring

ginger is funny but still, not THAT funny

it just seems like this season the humor isn't really THAT funny yet and no one's really standing out and it feels too late for that haha

I'm really enjoying this season of Rupaul's Group Acting Challenge Race!

Miss Fame's song is AMAZING though. I don't really mind. She deserved way more recognition for her fashion etc. than she got, but yes regarding performance skills I'm only bothered that Kennedy is still there when she's gone. & Maybe Ginger.

This song is so good though???? I usually hate all drag queen music (ok but I Adore U by Adore is the only good one)

Can someone make a cover art for allergic to love. There was one on coverlandia.net but it got taken down. If someone has it please post it or can some one make another cover. I need it for my CHARLI discography. Thanks

This girl who randomly released her first song with collaborators like Charli XCX and Diplo. Look up "Octahate". I've heard it in Starbucks before.

That may be the other thing that bothers me about Sucker... It's not just her second album, according to her it's her "BEST" music yet, and if I disagree I clearly just "don't get it"...

Ummm musically I just think True Romance is a lot more original, emotional, multi-dimensional and creative... Sorry Charli?

After seeing her live twice, I don't wind waiting until the next era. Sucker is good but not THAT good

I've seen her enough times where its basically a waste of my money. I'm going to gov ball more for other acts and she happens to be there and honestly if theres someone I even remotely want to see and they're at the same time as her, I'm going to see the other person. I used to be a huge stan, but ever since the Sucker era, I've been so apathetic about seeing her and I've been told by multiple people that she doesn't meet fans after shows anymore and when she does people are super pushy/rude so she leaves early so that plus me not being crazy about the songs, I just don't want to go lmao

Yeah Pearl's post-show attitude seems kind of like she's not really into the whole thing which makes it seem unlikely she will win..
Also lets keep in mind Trixie! The returning queens always seem to go home the same episode they are brought back lol, but Trixie is the only returning queen who actually deserves to come back.

Also I think Katya is more likely to make top 3 than Ginger. I don't get why people see it so much for her. Her look just isn't there... I don't see her as top 3 material at all (but there's always that one girl who doesn't deserve to be there... Alexis, Phiphi, roxxy, kind of Courtney but she deserves top 3 more than those others)

Maybe you're right. I just wish BOMO was a better song. I mean the lyrics are great but the instrumental is just so meh to me... maybe she should remix the hell out of it and put the punctuation on the end of the Sucker era!

Thank you for reading my super long thesis on Charli XCX's career lol...

(what am I doing with my time )

As for the next move.... If she wants a shot at getting back her artistic integrity and maybe some public interest, she should try her best with whatever is left in the budget to make Body of My Own happen... It's not a safe song, but she's already tried those and they didn't work. It's feminist, punk, and unlike anything out there right now. She needs an identity, her image is so confusing right now.

Even though I wanted to think that gothli was the "real Charli", I can totally see where she's coming from saying it was her "trying to be cool". I get the feeling the whole aesthetic was partly a marketing thing. Charli clearly isn't actually "goth" in any way, it was just a style that got her a unique identity in the pop market and with the whole tumblr crowd.

I believe Charli when she talks about how she would've rather made this punk pop type album, but I think a lot of her more creative ideas were probably shut down by her label.

As much as I want to think of Charli as an independent artist who does whatever she wants, we have to keep in mind that she's signed to a major record label who expects her music to sell. And she's kind of in a pit... After Break the Rules flopped they should've realized that the pop-rock thing wasn't really selling.. And getting Rita Ora for Doing It didn't make any sense because Rita Ora doesn't even have a name for herself. Black Widow did well because Iggy was on it, not Rita.

Sorry, this has kind of turned into a mini rant/analysis of the sinking ship that is Sucker (as far as commercial success goes) inspired by a thread I saw on ATRL asking why Charli isn't taking off or being talked about even though she's getting nonstop promo and seemingly being forced down the public's throat.

Besides the major errors in singles/marketing (Famous would've done 10x better if they would've just made it a video of her at a house party looking sexy and breaking shit, and I would've enjoyed it more) I think the other reason it's not quite happening for Charli beyond features and a niche fanbase is that she doesn't really try to be relatable. She is who she is and I like her personality, but she doesn't come off as super friendly, charismatic, or inspiring like the big pop girls.

And her claims that she's changing pop music do come off as pretentious, because there's nothing very original about most of Sucker so far...

I mean, the general public's introductions to her were Fancy and Boom Clap... And then she tried to make Break the Rules happen. Those 3 songs are so different, I'm sure the general public has no idea what her identity is. She doesn't seem to really have one.

I think Charli's lack of success also has a lot to do with her alienating her fan base. Many of the hardcore fans view her as "selling out" with Sucker and are therefore less supportive of her now. Sure, she did gain a lot more fans with Boom Clap, but these were hardly hardcore fans + were a lot more "temporary" (if that makes sense); they would be more willing to illegally download her tracks than spend the $$$ to support her.

Take Marina for example - she "sold out" with Electra Heart and lost a few fans, but a large majority of hardcore fans stayed and supported her. FROOT had relatively NO public promo yet it still managed to hit #1 on its first day and stayed within the top 10 (or was it 20?) by the end of the week; this was all down to the amount of hardcore fans that bought the album. Marina didn't change herself (rather, she became someone else - Electra) and imo, this is why a lot of her hardcore fans still stan for her. Charli completely reinvented herself and lost a lot of her "permanent" fans as a result.
