love this interview! i'm so happy she spoke about kintsugi, the song is probably my favourite from ocean blvd with her making music a bit simpler and maybe less personal, i would like to see her get creative and find inspiration from different places to create stories or write something that is not necessarily about her life. ofc it would probably have parallels and could link to her experiences, but i think lana could create some amazing songs which are more from different perspectives, or about something she is passionate about, or specific moments in time/feelings, or even something completely fictional

i remember watching music channels on tv before school when i was 15 and discovering video games and born to die and i fell in love, i was obsessed. i listened to pure pop - whatever was popular on the charts - but when i heard her she changed my world. it got to a point where i only listened to her and nothing else lol the album was the first cd i bought i think, i just couldn't stop listening to it. i loved every single song, cried many many times, but the one most special to me is radio i was at college, i was struggling with my sexuality, pretty much had no friends, i was so lonely, but radio sparked so much hope in me. just hearing her say her life was better, and boasting "how do you like me now?" saying that she'd made it provoked so many hopes and dreams in myself- i started to truly believe that one day i'll be happy and have achieved something (im on my way, will get there some day) plus the song is a fucking banger. its my fave from born to die and maybe even all of her songs i dont think ive actually listened to the album as a whole for at least like 5 years, which is insane. but im listening now and my eyes have been welling up with each song until i finally broke listening to radio. the first in a line of incredible albums. her discography is a marvel love u lana

the album is so beautiful oml ngl black bathing suit was so jarring on first listen, its gonna take a couple more i think. but on first listen its such a pretty and interesting album, i can defo see this becoming one of my favourites. dealer was the highlight for me i actually love the unreleased songs being a part of this album. idk why but it felt so special listening to them officially even tho it literally makes no difference cos i could listen to them anyway. it made me feel so warm inside i guess because i love all those songs so much and it feels nice knowing that theyre special to lana too; enough so that she wanted the world to hear them. it makes me happy that the general public will hear (and fall in love with) these beautiful songs and theyll finally get the audience/reach they deserve although my one criticism is once IYLDWM starts playing you can tell its not been recorded recently. her voice has changed so much since then and its pretty obvious. the song itself is great and i guess its kinda hypocritical seeing as i said i liked the other unreleased lol but idk i kinda wish she recorded new vocals for the old songs. however im sure there was a reason for doing things the way she did damn i love lana, tysm for another stunning work of art -

I fucking wish She should really get on that - seeing as some of her unreleased songs are insanely popular. She thought about it before so why not? Like Queen of Disaster got attention on tiktok (and I think meet me in the pale moonlight did a little bit as well? idk) and Serial Killer has always been popular... Could make so much $$$ off of it -
was just listening to white flag by dido and for some reason i was imagining lana's voice singing it. god it would sound so good

I respect Melanie's artistry but this album just doesn't come close to Cry Baby. Sonically and thematically this album is similar to Cry Baby so people are bound to compare them, it is how it is. I love that she plays characters but I hope that next time she goes for something different because if she sticks to this idea it's going to get insanely boring and I doubt it would work a 3rd time round. Melanie's fans probably can identify the growth in her as an artist and how this album is different to Cry Baby and I understand that, but as a casual fan who just enjoys her music this doesn't particularly interest me Also not hating but when I saw the tracklist for the first time I rolled my eyes lmao and when I started listening, Wheels on the Bus wasn't a great way to start I found the sample cringe Drama Club, Lunchbox Friends, Orange Juice, High School Sweethearts and Recess are some of the tracks I liked FYI I didn't watch the film but I doubt many people other than stans will watch the entire film anyway??? however I realise that watching the film will probably enhance the experience of the album a lot. But based on the album alone there aren't many standout tracks and it all blends together. Which from an artistic POV probably fits with what Melanie wanted to achieve with this album, a cohesive sounding album telling a story, but it just ends up being a bit of a boring album to listen to I did like quite a few of the tracks and I don't think it's a bad album, it's just not amazing. I was expecting a bit more because Melanie is genuinely a great artist, and I don't think it was worth the 4 year wait. I'll probably love it after a few more listens though

had my first listen at midnight last night and it was magical. i don't think i've ever liked every single song on a lana album before (on first listen) but this album did it. they did how to disappear dirty but i'll let it slide it's still a fine song i just realllllllly think her live performance outshines it by a mile. cinnamon girl fucked me up, we knew it was going to be incredible but holy shit honestly there is no bad song on the album. i can't believe she keeps outdoing herself. a masterpiece -

omg i was not expecting a video today!!! it's amazing! i hope it gives Doin' Time more of a boost so it can chart and become a hit (i can dream) because it's already done well by lana's standards. i love this song so much and the video is iconic i haven't listened to the album yet but this unexpected little treat has just gotten me even more hype for midnight tonight -

I don't understand not having the self control to wait 13 days for the official release but oh well Some people probably don't care and that's fine but personally I just don't believe it's right to consume something before the artist intended you to -

i might end up doing that tbh. i think id prefer a signed copy/postcard (whatever it is) over a poster. although i got free delivery with hmv and lanas store won't give me that and i'm stingy as fuck lmao so that could be the deal breaker -

ugh why didn't they release this earlier i would've bought it instead of the copy with a poster from hmv -

LFA is so beautiful it's going to be on repeat all day. Season of the Witch is growing on me, after first listen I didn't like it but I don't mind it so much now. What a time to be a Lana stan -
i'm so indecisive on whether i'm gunna buy a ticket or not. i wanna go but i'm scared to go on my own and i'm too shy to make friends i might see how much the tickets are. if they're expensive i won't bother, if they're ok then i might just go for it

omg i'm so excited!!!!!!!!! fuck surprised to see BAR made it onto the album but it fits so well and i love the song so i'm glad i can't believe after all this time we've finally got the cover, the tracklist and the pre order/release date i can't we made it ladies -
I'm kinda glad Sarah Paulson is playing a smaller role (blasphemy, I know), she's incredible and I love her but I've been getting a little tired of seeing her playing the biggest character every season I love Evan too but tbh most of the characters hes played since S2 have been shit so idc as much about him not being in it. I would like to see more past cast members return for bigger roles, particularly Lily Rabe, and maybe Chloe Sevigny. Idk anything about the upcoming season though so I'm not sure who/what's been announced or not
