um, did I get this one right: you have not bought the album?

It's strange, cause I have actually never thought of her as being lazy in the sense that she is not driven or does not want to execute the visuals and everything regards to how her material is presented. I doubt that she doesn't care like she said recently. I doubt that she is not driven to write and record. Everything is a speculation right now, but I assume that her labels reaction and how it was mishandled really took away the joy she had for making this album. The BTD era seemed to have one of the biggest budgets I have seen for a new artist when it comes to videos and exposure. And let's confess: we have all loved it. That this era didn't even have like 10 % of it, must have srsly disappointed her. While the critics have warmed up to Lana, the music buying public didn't appreciate the album in the way everybody hoped for (well before the material was heard). And let's not talk about the interviews. That Guardian interview and the cancellation of the BBC promo killed her career in the UK. It took her 5 months to outsell the first week sales of BTD. Nobody can tell me that she is fine now. She always struck me as an artist who is determined and by no means fragile. I just hope that she gets the joy back of being a popstar. And I want her to be successful. I know, what a terrible fan I am wishing my favourite artist to be successful and outselling the basic bitches.

For some reason, we could get a Kate Bush situation with Lana. Only that Kate's music has so many layers it takes you years to fully understand and appreciate them, so that the years inbetween the releases and the 1 interview max she gives make the wait worth it.

Well, in that one interview she gave, she said she was "tempted to say yes" to some things. Then a few weeks later she uploaded that picture "Film" so maybe she was over this album when it came out. Maybe she just wanted to release it after all the fuckery that went down before it came out, the cut budget, the dispute with the label and just head off to new things. Maybe she will really be in a movie or something like that, maybe porn.

I will admit it to myself then when I hit my 132th birthday.

Well, I think that everything around the tour was a heavy mess. She was touring in Europe way too much, but the demand was there and since artists make most of the money while on tour, I don't blame her. Then there were these few South America gigs, then a pause and then all of a sudden a North American tour and a new album coming up, Of course, it would have made sense to play new tracks on that tour, to create buzz and all, maybe playing different songs from the album each night and get more press, but she probably didn't have the time to work on everything. This era was a huge, huge mess and now we can say from start to finish, because there probably won't be anymore singles or videos for UV. No focus and poor execution, at least the most important thing (the music) was good, but I get the impression it could have all been so much better (yes, even the music). It would really suprise me if she tours for this album. Maybe she should use the time to work with her band more and maybe play unreleased tracks on the next tours / gigs. Many people who go to her shows know songs like Kinda Outta Luck, You Can Be The Boss, Hundred Dollar Bill or Driving In Cars With Boys. Nothing wrong with throwing them in. Just playing the same sets over and over again totally takes out the excitement before seeing her live. She has so much material to work with. It's a shame she isn't even trying it.

I like it. I don't expect from a lady like Jessica Lange to use the f-word. If people are not bothered by the German accent, than there is no need to be upset. It's great exposure once again for Lana's music. Not that Interscope would really care about it, but hey...

Is AHS slowly but surely turning into Glee to appeal to a bigger audience or is it just me?

Not that things like this case don't happen in the entertainment business, but I struggle to believe her that it was the way she tells it. It is a known fact that Kesha desperately tries to get out of her contract and let's face it, now after a document appeared that she said under oath that she and Luke were never in a sexual relationship, it makes her version less believeable. After all, it was under oath. Once again, there are just too many things that don't come together for me to believe her. Not that it matters, but what I personally believe is that Luke offered her to break her while getting something back from her. Of course in a way that was not articulated this obvious. She agreed or let him take advantage, regretted it, but it was too late. If anything happend at all, it did not happen without her being unaware or forced. At least, that's what I believe. Just like evilentitly said, this is ten years ago and they wrote songs together, went together to award shows, they were very close. If somebody did something so cruel and traumatic, this all would not have turned out the way it did for years.

I have also never cared for K or Lana's lovers. If the song works, it works. Couldn't care less about who she is singing about. I have managed to listen to Sirens once and fell to sleep. I have not listened to Ride in maybe a year and the video is just painfully long and the monologe is a joke.
