  1. I give you that. But they never wanted him and I think they have way less reason to want him more. And it wasn't just Interscope, the Universal people in Europe wanted him even less. Plus, Heath is her friend and her to-go-guy for a soundtrack. I wanted Auerbach myself actually, I like some stuff from TBK and UV wouldn't work with anybody else IMO, but yeah.
  2. No, she flopped miserably and we should just accept it and move on. BTD was holding strong on the charts, UV is not even on the iTunes Top200 anymore, It fell off everywhere and nobody cares if she promotes or not. It just matters if she sells or not. A she is probably at 1.2 million and it will take her months to even reach 1.3 since she is selling 3k in the States per week max and this has become her biggest market.
  3. After all what went down between her and her label after she insisted on Auerbach to produce UV and its floppage, I doubt Auerbach will get another chance. Interscope is noT having it.
  4. Nobody talked about OUAD in that way, cause that song was a cover and have never even been nominated for an Oscar. Only ppl with no clue would say that. Young and Beautiful was another story.
  5. OMG!!!! more remixes? YAAAAAAAS! No, but srsly, I really hope so. I won't hold my breath though. It could also be another false alarm.
  6. Tom Waits Azealia Banks FKA Twigs (not a huge fan, but I think it would work really well)
  7. Whoever said it's free promo, well: Ultraviolence #198 and falling like a rock today. About to drop out of the Top200 on US iTunes.

    Azealia Banks

RAVE, and I mean RAVE reviews for Azealia in Germany. And the album is still holding strong at No.27 on US iTunes. I think this might end up being way more successful than anybody would have ever thought. Well, done Azealia! EDIT: No. 26, actually. She moved one place up
  9. Well, Eminem has also said that he would pee on RIhanna and they ended up having two huge hits. So, maybe it's Em's way to say he wants a little romance?

    Azealia Banks

Awwww, I lover her. She is so sweet.
  11. Suprised by the article. Never thought that The Guardian would say anything positive about her after all what went down between them this year.

    Azealia Banks

11k bitches . It's a great result for her in the US
  13. Off To The Races, everything about it.
  14. Everything about this issue and this thread summed up in this
  15. The word itself is not the issue, not for me anyway. It's the context and everything else that follows that word. I am not sure if you read my post above that I personally regard "Kim" and "Bonnie & Clyde" as his best songs. My problem (which is already too much cause I wouldn't actively look his music up these days) is the fact that everything has been said and done. His music came out at a time when Nu-metal with acts like Limp Bizkit and Korn reached its heights. Music full of trash, anger and hatered. Marilyn Manson was at least really shocking in the very beginning, but he also didn't capture the shock-volume for too long. Music like that loses its strength after a while. It remains a mystery to me how Eminem was able to maintain his success, cause he hasn't really offered any artistic growth in my opinion.
  16. Are we still on the "Azealia called Perez a faggot"-thing? I swear, I wouldn't called him only that.
  17. K, Eminem's best tracks were "Kim" and "Bonnie & Clyde" because they totally shocked you. And these songs were tight, they were brilliantly written and performed. I don't care about the topic of the songs. Art is free and when you wanna tell a tale, you better do it the right way and he did. I don't support the idea that artists should be just all about fluff and self-empowerment, playing a role model. Lana herself also never justifies for the behaviour of the characters in her songs. One of Eminem's problems is that he is recording basically the same material since the 1990's. And it's gotten so boring, so quickly.
  18. no talent and no penises? I'm out.
  19. I have learned to love Paradise way later. I think it really works as a collection of songs to close BTD and most importantly has a more mature sound. I just hope that in future she includes more of its sound than the guitar-driven jazzy one into her releases.
