I feel like White Mustang is compositionally an important milestone for her because it shares similarities with quite a few of the newer tracks that we've heard snippets of -- HIAB, How to Disappear & Sylvia. They just have that classic moody, melancholic piano ballad vibe. Maybe in this record she's trying to find a balance between the sadder, intimate White Mustang-esque tracks (HIAB, HTD, etc.) and the optimistic, hopeful Change/GetFree-esque tracks (MAC, IYC....). Just speculation though since we have not heard full versions of all of these songs

Like others have already corrected you -- she said he brought her chords, not the melodies. They're quite different. This is normal behaviour for her anyway. At least when she was working with Rick, he was mostly the one coming up with the chords. You're right that it is a collaborative process though. But we don't have enough information to say who did what and who deserves the "most" credit, as if it even matters.

She could very well have decided to rework some aspects of the album, record additional songs or change the direction (see LFL). What we do know is that she has still been in the studio.

Lana is doing y'all a favour by forcing y'all to go outside and have your own life rather than living solely to consume her music. Imagine going to a gourmet restaurant and breathing down the neck of the chef, urging him to hurry up and just finish the damn meal. Sure, you can do that if you want undercooked, soggy, half-baked and sloppy food that hits your taste buds in all the wrong ways. Or you can go to McDonalds. Let her work at her own pace.
