It's not fair to say they were rushed just because they were put out in such a short time, as long as the record is released when it's naturally ready (which seems to be the case for these albums). from what we know Lana is quite a prolific songwriter, this is just the pace she works at.

wow Girl Of The Year and L'Inconnue have to be some of their best songs ever.

it may be too early to say this but this is my favourite album of theirs next to Depression Cherry. It's everything I love about Beach House.

What a great album the singles were rather misleading tbh, it's much less chaotic and more mellow than the impression they gave me My faves are L'Inconnue, Black Car, Pay No Mind, and Girl of the Year. I'm loving the production - especially the touch of acoustic guitar on some tracks. I'll be having the album on repeat over the coming days so that it all sinks in

Honeymoon is such an "orange sunset on a humid mid-summer day" kinda album. I don't see the spring vibes. LFL seems more spring to me. Born to Die also seems like quite a summer album.

What is this post? Two false facts. Technically autumn (astronomical) begins on September 23rd (in the northern hemisphere), and the clocks change on 28th of October.

Mid-September is still late summer. It's definitely not an autumn release, especially with the build-up starting in July (with the title track) and two singles dropping in August (HBTB + TLY).

Honeymoon sweetie I'm so sorry. You need to listen again.... with good headphones, high volume and memories from your past. It's a mindblowingly gorgeous album. The emotion is all there, but I feel that Honeymoon is one of those albums where you need to go through some type of trauma or severe heartbreak to really resonate with the sonic universe she has created.

I don't know, I feel like she's kind of taking a step back from the out of the black-into the blue idea. This song literally seems to be about happiness escaping from her. Maybe it's her way of being honest and reflecting on the fickle and fragile nature of happiness, and she's realising the tone she set forth in GF may have been a bit too ambitious. But we'll see once we get the full lyrics.

i'm glad. the quicker we move on from LFL the better. i'm thirsty for more music already

It kind of does. I'm multilingual and whenever I travel to different countries I find myself 'subconsciously' adapting how I speak English to mimic the people I'm talking to. I know a lot of other people who do this as well. Lana already speaks decent Spanish and living in California she's obviously surrounded by a lot of Spanish-speaking people, so it's not completely new for her.
