  1. I'm still not over 'Liz, I'm Calling From California'. At this point if the album doesn't have a track called like that, I don't want it

Her best album, easily The hate is getting very bandwagon-y at this point and it's tired!

No one thought this. The way your attempts to troll this thread with your constant negativity and whining didn't get the attention you want now you're resorting to making up lies Just leave the thread since you hate the album so much, and let us have today & tomorrow to celebrate the album, please!

I wouldn't rule out that this was intentional. She's talked a lot about how she doesn't want you to just immediately "get" the album when you first listen to it. She wants you to really sit with it and absorb it. And that will take conscious effort on your behalf to interpret the songs individually and assign your own meanings. But this is why I think this record will be a very strong grower. If you're just not vibing with it for now, that's also okay, maybe you just don't relate.

Really? I found it quite the opposite. In Mood Ring she sings about this wellness culture and magical thinking that our generation resorts to, trying to find direction, meaning and happiness in a confusing and sad world. Think of how so many people use astrology, horoscopes, mood rings, herbology, chakras, auras, crystals, etc. to cope with their emotions and identity. Underneath it all there's a sense of someone who feels lost and trying to latch onto all these external objects as a lifeline. I don't know about you, but myself and so many of my friends in their early 20s feel this same way. Yeah, we're grown adults, but the social dynamic has changed quite a bit and the COVID pandemic just made the plight of our generation so much more pronounced. The early 2000s is just such a fitting symbol of comforting nostalgia for a time that, in our rose-colored glasses, seems so much simpler. She's truly coming of age as an adult and this lamenting of growing older is also reflected in Stoned at the Nail Salon. Spending time with those who raised you because you know we're all just marching to the end. It has this existential dread to it, which she just brushes off to being high. I relate to this so much, I always get super anxious when I smoke and I start feeling very sentimental despite still being so young. I don't know if you've listened to The Path, but Anyway, I kinda rambled on but I definitely think she's onto something with this record. I really don't think she's just "not singing about much at all". She's giving us a much needed warm hug & reminding us of what is still beautiful out there, especially after a very messy year. It's not cynical at all like some of her previous work and I love that. I know I can't articulate it that well but I hope it will become more clear as we hear the rest of the music

I love it. The tracks we've heard are all so cohesive. They're clearly from this same magical universe. You can tell she's put a lot of work into it
  9. This era hasn't even begun for me tbh. I'm viewing the triple singles as another MAC/VB situation. I genuinely feel bad for the girls refreshing her socials by the minute and shazaming the snippet every day. See y'all in 2022

I literally can't stop thinking about this album. It cannot come any sooner Haven't anticipated an album like this in a hot minute. She's really coming for blood.

It does sound different... like there are instruments missing which are in the low quality leak. Hopefully this is the demo, not the other way around.
  16. BAR/Architecture leaked like 10 days after the Love single was released, before we knew anything about LFL. Also Eclipse said Lana told him BAR was the title track. Would he lie? Anyway, Blue Banisters definitely will be her worst album title. It doesn't have that magical, cinematic feeling to it. Oh well, as long as the music's good!
  17. This just unlocked a hidden memory of how messy album releases used to be, before 2015. Different countries would have different release dates. Why was that ever a thing The chaos. Anyway, perched for Arcadia. It's giving very much Tropico. Blue Banisters found dead in a ditch, and rightfully so
  18. That would be quite pointless. COCC is cute and all as an album for us fans, but I would bet on my life that it is not getting any nominations. I'd rather her just be passionate about the music and not worry about silly award shows.
  19. Manifesting an EP release for May 2022 a record just hits differently in spring. Ideal Tracklist: 1- Wildflower Wildfire 2- Blue Banisters 3- Rock Candy Sweet 4- Cherry Blossom 5- Text Book 6- Thunder Keep it short and sweet. NO bloat and filler like on COCC!

Talk about dramatic, huh... Anyway, I'm so excited for Mood Ring! This track wasn't it for me, but I still have high hopes for the rest of the record.

California is absolutely amazing one of her best songs ever. My excitement for the record went from 30 to 100
  24. I'm not a fan of unreleased songs on upcoming records. I like being surprised with new material. But one song I can make an exception for is Fine China. It's so magical, it deserves a place on her official discography. It deserves justice!
