It's obviously not as good, but that's a great thing, she has too many grammys already & doesn't deserve more. For sure. I know I will be shat on for saying this, but.... I miss her putting effort into her productions, like how she used to be invested in every single detail and would drive to the beach to test the vibes of the songs in different atmospheres. Now she just does everything in one take and seemingly forgets about it when she leaves the studio.

Interesting, I've never seen anyone talk smack about DT to be honest. I included that because it seems to be a casual stan fave because of its lightness and summery vibes, while also being very palatable and well-received to the GP. It's one of the standouts from the NFR era in terms of popularity and was on the radio for much longer than it should've been. The way it also got one of Lana's best music videos. I feel like it was supposed to be a quick little cover for a documentary, but somehow ended up placing in a prominent slot on her album because of it being such a smash. It's a cute bop, but people are doing too much

I know this will be an unpopular opinion but I'm not excited simply because I'm expecting her to be lazy and not put out anything substantial. TB, WW, BB were lazy. Sure, cute songs with refreshing lyrics, but lazy. There's no ambition with her anymore. Her music & career seem like a total afterthought. So I'm fine with her taking a break to relieve both our and her burnout, if it means higher quality work in a few years

For sure, I remember months would go by and the only news we'd get is a sighting of her getting coffee in LA. I do think this thread contributes to the chaos, bc the constant activity and chatter makes it feel like we're on the edge of something happening. I don't think she's bothered about "destroying Taylor, Ariana, etc." at this point in her career? It seems like she just wants to tell her story authentically. This bombastic pop song @ an award show just seems way out of character for her. And it would be the worst way to get 'revenge', imo. If anything, it would confirm the critics
