What if was only a snippet and the song is out much later? Would that leave space for NFR’s lead?!? (Probably not, but that collab is a damn wild card in the prediction schedule)

I’m with you. I always loved strings and piano. My fave soundtrack is The Piano by Michael Nyman. I love the intimacy of that instrument. I loved how HM had so many subtilities that I discovered over time. NFR will probably be the same: many songs might not stand out at first, but they’ll be growers. And a couple of rock-Ish influences on a couple of them? Jeez, sign me up. It’s gonna be an excellent album to drive to. VB is already incredible for that.

After Doin Time and that song, I feel the same as when I ate a lot of junk food in two days: it was good and somewhat satisfying, but bring me healthy consistent food. NFR will be all the more welcomed, after that pop banger.

Well, no matter what happens, we’ll either get part of the song or the whole song: otherwise, there’s no point for the three of them to be tagged or to promote the trailer if the song comes out in one week.

Fan accounts on Twitter and Insta suggested the date, including Honeymouns, our fave leaker. But it might be the release date of the Charlie’s Angels song? (Seems a bit far though)

The weirdness of the collab makes sense for a soundtrack. Plus I love that her bangers are outside of albums (for the moment at least)

The wild card of the calendar was the collab, but now we know this will be what we get in July (maybe the lead at the end of that month or early August). 3 people singing a song only means a little of each one of them. Now I wanna hear how this turns out. But it won’t feature Lana much i’m afraid.

Could MAC be the transition track? The « are you ready for it? » could be for the more guitar tracks to come and therefore, be placed mid-record? I always saw that song number 1 or 2, but the piano ballads will be on the first half of the album...

And remember her insta posts in March, when she said she was entering her blue period? She seemed so happy! No wonder, having penned down 2 songs she was proud of, with a new project coming to light and the end of a successful tour

She also said she had the concept for the album in March last year. So I think the title track was done at the same time as HIaB (and it’s very piano also, which would fit the timeline)

Doin’ Time doesn’t have « any Jack » on it. I really don’t see it on NFR. It’s an excellent cover, but the tone is way too « light » for this record.

I have mixed feelings about an album trailer for this record. I loved all the ones she put out in previous eras, but this time around, since we heard 3 full songs and parts of 6, and given the low-key approach for visuals, I'm not sure what an album trailer could bring more. A snippet of one of the «4 unknown»? Another part of another song? Bits of the three singles with the same footage?

She’s becoming an « established name » (the list of people wanting to collab with her -or did it- is getting impressive) and entering her « more mature/ honest » stage of her career, in their eyes. Still young enough to be relevant but not as alien as her debut album. She gained the respect of Many. Plus BTD was discarded by pretty much everyone in the industry... and we all know how legendary it became. So there’s a bit of « overdue » when it comes to Grammy noms. That being said, we’ll see how it turns out. God I hope not. It was only cute IMO.

All the award shows are about politics : studio push certain artists and they become the nominees. Sometimes talent wins, but not all the time. Is she incredible? Of course. Did she deserve Grammy noms before LFL? Hell yeah. But some of her lyrics might have been too controversial for that. We have yet to hear NFR, but it has a chance. The lyrics aren’t about a tragic girl « glamourizing abuse » like many accused her of in the past, and it is produced by a Grammy winner already. So there’s a chance there.

That's what I was thinking... Then again, maybe the guy on Twitter who said that the album would be out on August 23 and the lead on August 9 is right after all.... Honestly, it's that collab that will determine when we are getting the lead from NFR: if Charlie's Angels song is out in July, we better forget the lead that month.

I’m still hoping for it, but we have contradictory info’s on it. First of all, I think all of NFr’s songs will be co-written by Jack. So Yosemite, even if it could fit the mood of NFR (acoustic guitar... that could transition well into a mellow electric-psychedelic outro), I don’t expect to see it on the album (since it was co-written by Rick probably). Bartender was done in January?!? She began her work with Jack around those times and calls the song weird... so maybe? But she contradicted herself about her work with Jack: she said there was a meeting in December but she also said the meeting took place around Grammy times... So who knows? If it’s not co-written by Jack, i don’t expect it to be on the album. If it’s on the album, it would probably be a piano ballad (all the early songs heard so far from NFR seem to be all piano).

That’s what I thought so. But new rumours say it could be used in the first trailer and that would be out soon. I’m curious about that collab, but I wish it was out after NFRGod this era is confusing as fuck.

Early July made a lot of sense for the lead / preorder... Then I saw today that the Ari / Miley collab could be out real Soon?!? If so, there’s the other rumour that preorder would be out on August 9 with the album out on August 23... and it could be true, even if August 23 seems really stupid because of Taylor. So we’ll see, I Guess?!?

I don’t mind at all having heard many snippets of songs. In fact, all of the « samplers » for each album never were representative of the « album » as a whole. Plus each album had a half that I first liked better... only to find out the other half grew on me and is now my fave.

We have heard 9 tracks out of the 13. The last four will be something, I feel it. One or two with psychedelic vibes / guitars. Maybe one « surprise » as well (Bartender or Yosemite)? And like I said before, we’ll probably get the lead, album cover, release date and tracklisting all at once (early July seems plausible).

Well no matter what she put us through, August is very believable, because it was her birthday (and she knows what day it is), the album is done and Jack is involved somewhere else (so no last-minute changes), she has had all the time in the world to think about a date, it’s still summer, it’s a little short of a year since the two singles, and Interscope will surely want to push for a best album Grammy nom. So... i predict the 16th or 30th. August 23 is Taylor’s.
