The lyrics of Black Magic wouldn't pass as racist I think (if they were true): The black face thing is part of the guy being dark: black magic, black arts, black hands, black soul, which has nothing to do with race. I kinda wish the tracklisting and songs are true because we now would have a real release date... But the dark-faced man who stole money?!?! She'll never hear the end of it if it's true. And the title track being so short?!?! The Black Magic one is very good though and has Blackest Day vibes...

You're setting yourself up for disappointment, I think. Lana has been a fucking let down this whole year with her promo, true, but TGL and RBFY were not Jack produced songs (unless he retouched them, but I always thought this album was a Jack-Lana coproduction from A to Z). RBFY might have tiny chance since it fits the atmosphere of the album because of the piano (though not lyrically: it's very spring and all with the roses and lilacs) but TGL? It fits nowhere NFR sonically. We have a better chance of a leak for TGL and maybe to see RBFY on a «best-of» collection, I think. I'd love to hear these two songs, both sound amazing, but the hope that these two will be on NFR are slim, like skinny-slim.

Not gonna happen. NFR was produced by Jack and those two ain't. and why is everyone done suddenly? Because of the «couple of tracks» being CA song and Doin Time? Because the poetry book might come out in October ? Because we might not get a lead (don't know why we came to that conclusion)...? My two cents: a couple could mean 2 or 3 (4 seems unrealistic). The lead could be the final song before NFR is out. September makes sense as the NFR release (it's almost the «two months» of Lana and it marks the 1-year of MAC and VB). Poetry book will come out afterwards in fall, even though she said she wanted the book out before the album (she must have realized it would really take longer to have Violets out).

I’d love for her to unveil the real NFR date on July 24, when her festival tour ends. Before that, she can say any form of synonymous for « a couple of weeks » she wants.

If they are shooting the video just now, I doubt the editing will be done by end of July. Plus the movie is out in November: they want the song to promote the movie and wouldn’t it be too soon to release it just now?Anyways, let’s keep our hopes very low before she ends her festival tour (on the 24th). The August 23 release date for NFR is probably false, but the August 8-9 date for a new single kinda makes sense (for a probable Sept release)

I thought the CA song would determine when NFR was going to be released, expecting the song to be out by now. But the CA song is nowhere to be seen so why isn’t she releasing the goddamn album?!?

It's possible since she was going to self-publish it (so no breech of contract if she decides to include it with NFR) and the two have the same vibes.

i will probably buy it because I like poetry and I enjoyed the poems she put out. I just hope the book will be available worldwide and won't have a limited number of copies. The only positive thing about this long-ass wait is that I got tired to wait for her voice to tell my story, so I started writing again. In a way, she kinda inspired me to write freely, and not to be too much preoccupied by the «quality» of the words. Anyways, the book seems complementary of NFR, so I will do my best to buy it.

I really enjoy poetry and she did serve some poems that I liked. I wish she switched the book's and NFR's releases though. I'd love to read the book while I'm listening to NFR and have been accustomed to it.

We've honestly prepared so much for the worst for this album cover that it probably won't be mindblowind but it'll still work. Can she just release the lead, announce the release date and call it a day? I'm sure it will be there. It's one of the few songs that are in the same vein as VB: to leave it out would make VB clash too much on the record.
