After BAR making it on an official record and knowing they were both sister tracks, I can’t help but see parallels between Yosemite and California... If not, we’ll hear it some day I’m sure. Now that I think about it, I don’t think it matters now that much to Interscope this time around. Her albums are doing well on streaming platforms over time plus NFR smells Grammy nom all over it. So Interscope would be more than happy with a number 2 on its first week, but close to a billion streams over time and a Grammy nom.

Rumours about the lead being released on August 8 or 9 seem to be consistent enough. So I don’t expect anything until the week before, like she did through this whole era (announce a single and release it the week after)

Like I said: she’ll probably reveal the date on her last show, July 24.

Who knows but even if it comes out in September, Interscope could have begun physical production of it. August / early Sept makes sense because there are so many side projects coming from her that it would seem like an orgy of Lana if NFR came out later than Sept: There's the CA song, the Disney song (probably for Maleficent), the MGK collab that he could release anytime, the Jess R collab, the possible Taylor collab. One of her dancers did say that she would dominate the rest of the year... And there's the book.

On a FB group, two more people said she said last night it was out in August... Unless she says otherwise at her next shows, I'll tell myself it's out in September.

Not totally impossible after July 24 (end of festival tour)... or around beginning of August.

It can be done in a week (for a surprise release like Beyoncé did), but it usually starts a month-ish before release, if I'm correct.

If it's for Maleficent 2, the movie is out October 18 I think (not sure of the exact day); same as the CA song, the song from the soundtrack will serve as promo a couple of weeks before the movie. It could be featured in the second trailer, like what they did with the first movie and Once Upon a Dream.

I honestly don't expect anything else other than some form of «soon» until her last show on the 24th.

We have confusing and contradictory dates for their work together, coming from sis herself. In one interview, she did say it had began end of December 17 (they had met at least). Then, she said January and didn't she also say that they first met after the Grammies (and we know she first talked about Bartender at the Grammies of 2018)? It's kinda hard to have the record straight with her: she has zero knowledge of time whatsoever. Bartender had me intrigued the second she talked about it. I really hope it was made by Jack and made the cut.

It just shows how desperate we are for any kind of news: even the best fan fiction is better than her silence bullshit.
