She has many projects in the air, and NFR was a tough ship to bring home, so I don’t expect LDR7 to be out soon. Like I said before, the only way the next album is out fast is if it’s a collection of unreleased songs if she doesn’t redo them. Other than that, we better enjoy NFR for some time now.

That’s what a couple fan accounts predicted : July 2-ish. I know it’s hard to believe anything she says, but there’s a good chance she’ll come around this time: the album is done (who knows if she didn’t retouch a bit of UV last minute). And Uv had a special situation: Dan’s album was out on May 1 also. Interscope might have decided to postpone it to not « harm » his record.

Well, is it hypocrisy or they talked after that and got along? We have to be careful about tweets from 2012. Lana came out of nowhere and looked like an alien. Her lyrics were miles from the rest of the musical landscape and the big question was: Is this another manufactured voiceless singer? Time proved us wrong. I became a fan with the Tropico era but the SNL performance made me think at first she was an autotuned Doll. I didn’t know Lizzy Grant either. So, I can relate to the Juliette Lewis tweet. But God, was I wrong. Now I love her unconditionally, but it sure wasn’t the case for me at first.

Yeah that’s what I also think. Album, poetry book, and the rumour list of new songs after that is impressive (Ari X Miley, Disney song, Jesse R, maybe even MGK). If it can finally start, we’ll hear from her very frequently after that. It’s a rough patch to say the least, but it won’t last.

I wish the unreleased collection will be LDR7. The girl needs a break, it seems. So this would allow her to close a chapter that doesn’t need too much effort (if the project consists of unleaked songs and a couple of ones that leaked). But if you relisten to the video where she says she considers that project, she finishes by saying « I don’t know, maybe this would be too much work ». So, in 2017, if she says it’s too much work, I didn’t really expect it to see the light of day anytime soon.

You’re totally right and I shouldn’t have said it like that. I admit I thought the « name problem » was the reason for the delay... Until both Ben and the Rockwell estate debunked it. However, the rumour kinda resurfaced last week... And now to question if Cinnamon is scrapped... my post was mostly about « Ok, that era is hell, but when we finally have confirmation of something, can we not move backward? » I read the « I’m afraid Cinnamon might be scrapped » as: « ok, one conspiracy theory down, now let’s find something else to obsess and overdramatize over ». Sorry if it was poorly written :/

It will be on it. First, the album is not scrapped and was not renamed like many said. Plus all the songs she teased with a snippet (except RBFY, which we already knew) were included on the album. And it fits the introspective mood of NFR: that plea for her lover not to break her, it's just so direct and beautiful.

She should « step it up » a bit this time around. She said « soon », then « It’s coming, i’m Putting it out very slowly ». How about: it’s coming end of summer or even better, a fucking date.

I don’t think anything will drop tomorrow. BUT she has a show on the 22nd, and two after that (27-28). Early July, maybe, for a new song? Hell, maybe she’ll pull a Cherry and sing a new one live, or maybe she’ll allude to the release date (i’m Not bringing my hopes up for that last one though).

if it's the case, the collab will be out in what? October? NFR could come before that. (many fans have early July vibes for the preorder...) And let's not forget there's a strong chance she did record the Maleficent 2 song... Have we finally figured out her fucked up schedule after all?!?!

I’m still hoping for Bartender or Yosemite to be thrown in the mix... (even if Yosemite was probably written with Rick and all the songs from NFR are co-written by Jack) So I really feel you!

True. But her music is so hard to describe and categorize: she's part pop, part something else, most of the time. That she wants to be part of a pop collab isn't that far-fetched in my mind.

No matter how that collab turns out, it will draw attention. Which is good for us and her: NFR is really a mood album, like UV and HM, surely not a big album with lots of pop anthems, which I love. I always saw her in a weird position: she is big but never big pop star big. Interscope probably wants her to perform and her records aren’t that pop... So these collabs could please everyone: getting exposure, recognition and a hit while making personal records between those.

Honestly, of all the pop stars out there, Miley and Ariana aren’t the worst. Both seem in control of what they do. Even a Taylor collab is possible if Jack is the producer.

I wonder if Miley liking something on Insta is the same as Lana... Because we know how it goes with our girl: she just likes the attention and it is no confirmation whatsoever.

I trust her instincts when it comes to her collabs. None felt «not her». True, some were a bit deceiving because she wasn't showcased much. But the more I think about that collab, the more I see it as a power move: «Interscope wants more number 1, I'll give 'em that. But my albums are mine.» I don't hate that the songs outside her records are more hits / bangers; the albums seem more personal in a way.

I see those kind of collabs as « Ok Interscope, here are bangers. Just not on my record »
