  1. it fits the mood of the album perfectly: introspective sad-girl shit. The production is different, true, but the tone is in direct line of NFR,
  2. plus didn't she say somewhere she doesn't like deluxe editions, that they mess up the story of the album and are just made for marketing purposes by record companies? Since HM, we havent had any deluxe; don't see NFR being any different.
  3. NFR will probably have 11 songs, but when she said that number in September, I've been wondering since then if HTD was already included in the 11 songs but was unfinished production-wise, or if it's a 12th song added to the final mix.
  4. yes, fan single, as in «not lead single». Same with MAC and VB: the three tracks from NFR were released for fans mostly, not radio airplay; the lead single to come will possibly have more radio airplay material. (by the way, renaming Sylvia makes the song much more personal, though it could have been axed to Hope Is Dangerous Thing).
  5. As you know, I didn't find the VB video ugly. Sure, it was low-key, low-budget, homemade-is, but it worked. But if HIaB is indeed the lead single and we get the same damn footage, I will have to join the «Lana got lazy with visuals / let's axe Chuck out of existence» fan club that has grown over the weeks here.
  6. Hey Blue Baby doesn't have much of a chance of being on NFR, I think
  7. Won't happen since Jack is the producer of NFR. He is a busy guy and has already moved on to another project. She doesn't have Rick this time around to come out at 2 AM to record a last-minute song for NFR.
  8. The release dates aren't completely in her hands... It's very plausible UV was meant to be released May1... but Dan Auerbach's group was releasing their new album that date. It would have been awkward to have two Dan projects the same day and not super wise, marketing strategy speaking. And let's not forget that Interscope wants number one records with her, so the chosen date must be pretty much clear of any other release in order to (hopefully) do so.
  9. Two things: - all the songs she teased with a snippet made it to the album, except for RBFY, but we already knew that it wouldn’t a cause of the caption. - she can’t scrap NFR all over: Jack is the producer and has already moved on to the next project. With LFL, she had Rick that could come out anytime to pen a last minute song; with NFR, things are different.
  10. Again: alll the songs she teased with a snippet made it to the album, except for RBFY, which she said it wouldn’t.
  11. I will say it again: Lana sure is unpredictable but to the sole exception of RBFY, which she said it would, no snippet hasn’t made it to the album.
  12. Billboard sure as hell is credible... i just hope they don’t base that date upon the MTV UK news solely.
  13. It doesn’t fit NFR: the music is introspective, vulnerable, often low-key and simple. Her homemade videos, though not spectacular, fit the music much more than her Gucci campaign. It doesn’t fit. The rythm of the campaign is much more quicker than the beginning of VB.
  14. Aren’t there accessories coming from Lana and Gucci? Like the sunglasses and wallets she posted on her Insta (the one written Château Marmont on it)?
  15. I wasn’t expecting much from it and I didn’t get much either lol. She looks stunning, it’s a cute campaign, but Lana remains associated with music to me. The ad didn’t have new music from her (wasn’t expecting it), so I am not super thrilled by this. Her acapella singing of MAC got me more excited, honestly.
  16. I absolutely don’t mind that LFL is more diverse and has some « weaker » lyrics: to me, it is a stellar summer record, so it’s only normal it’s a little bit more light. And as for the production, considering it is coming after HM and before NFR (from what we’ve heard so far), which are two personal records that are more on the ballad side, I really don’t care that LFL is going in more directions.
  17. I expect LDR7 to come out much later on: she is working on a Broadway with Rick apparently, she began writing and might want to pursue that avenue in the next years, plus she wants children at some point. If she decides to take a break, she really should consider releasing an unreleased collection or a collection of leaks and unleaked tracks. She has a ton of music to choose from, and it would be perfect for fans.
  18. Fuck. Someone must have reported it. Then again, people are just plain dumb: a couple of fan accounts did a video with the new snippet and tagged Lana in it Fuck. Someone must have reported it. Then again, people are just plain dumb: a couple of fan accounts did a video with the new snippet and tagged Lana in it
  19. It’s kinda unclear when The Good Life was created. We know it was part of a 4-song EP she prepared for Big Eyes (there was also I Can Fly on it, which was a UV reject, and the demo to BPBP). Maybe it was actually created after UV... anyways, that song is so fucking gorgeous. I never wanted more a song of her to leak.
  20. True. But Lana liking a tweet could confirm or simply mean she liked the “attention” of the tweet. Remember when someone had brought up the rumoured “Wild Side” song pre-LFL era and she liked it? We all thought it was confirmed and needless to say more.
  21. Sure hope the mid-year thing is false. I guess when the lead single lands, this is where things will begin to be clearer.
  22. HM’s was not bad. Not her best, but it embodied the whole album.
  23. Ok, about that cover... I am not one to complain about art cover and I must say that it takes a lot to not like it if the music is good... but that one might be one of the worst she has ever put out... If it is indeed real, no wonder Ben wants her to come up with something else... it looks like a MySpace profile pic. Take the picture of the Sept interviews instead lol let’s hope March 29 is real though.
  24. It seems that all songs from NFR were first composed via piano or guitar... Then they added the rest of the production. So, the base of the melody is either piano or guitar and I think we will hear them on all the songs...
  25. Ok LB has officially become fucking crazy... The melodies of all the songs from NFR are incredible, it’s a cohesive work also, her voice is just so pure and touching, and every song sounds so sincere... my only concern is the mid-year release if it’s true... These introspective songs scream winter release to me. NFR is shaping up to be in the same vein as HM, with hints of UV’s originality.
