Isn’t the post « Lana has a surprise »? If so, it sorta rules out that she receives some sort of distinction or reward, me thinks. A documentary would be amazing though.

My fave theory is that she is releasing a « 3am » edition to her « Midnights »‘s Océan Blvd. facts that could support this: we are real close to the release date of Ocean. When she is releasing a single not included on an album or a soundtrack, she doesn’t promote it on a radio premiere (if the radio premiere and the surprise are related; it would be hell of a coincidence that both were made semi public on the same day, within the same hour). She submitted Ocean for physicals in October and we’re in March: that gave her a lot of time to record new songs. She feels like she is in a very good space with her career, according to her Rolling Stone interview and that album was easy to make and a bit carefree, so why not keep going at it? Plus there’s still the titty boxset we have yet to receive confirmation of existence with a preorder. Plus Neil teasing an Ocean Blvd pic with « t-minus » (could be that he thought the album was still out March 10, but I really doubt it) so… to me, it feels like we’re getting the Pearl Psycho Lifeguard edition of Ocean Blvd alongside the album on March 24th (take that, leakers) and a preorder for the new boxset on Tuesday, alongside the first single of this edition. i know, I dream big and am high on delulu juice at the moment.

Bringing some facts to the table to help us out: - Barbie movie is out in July; if lana is involved on the soundtrack, I find it a bit early to release the lead; - it now takes 2 to 3 days to upload a song to streaming services. If so, we should be able to see a difference in the total run of Ocean Blvd before Monday if the new song is indeed album-related; - Again, I find weird that only Lana is mentioned as the Hottest Record of it’s a Dua collab (especially since her collabs are usually her « Snow on the beaching » ) - BoZ’s reaction is real excitement. When he teased WCE, which he liked, he wasn’t as excited;

Gave it a try and can confirm that this album is not for me. Not bad, I liked songs from her in the past, there are surely some bangers in there. I’m a bit thrown off by the title though: Island is the only song that sonically can be associated with summer IMO. The other bangers, although good, don’t give me summer vibes at all. Not that I expected an album full of « Malibu »s but still a bit more summery I guess. Anyways, my opinion doesn’t count for much and surely it will be a hit for her, since I didn’t expect Flowers to be as big as it is right now (not a bad song just not as wow as the numbers behind it say)

I wonder if that new music is premiering Tuesday or later (like it’s a coincidence he talked about this surprise when we found out she is having a new song out on the BBC program)… A Dua collab… could be good, maybe not. I don’t know. I sure am way less excited now.

So, Ben or Ed liked someone’s post about her releasing a new single next Tuesday. Ben had done the same for A&W and it happened. So, the real question is: that new song premiering, is it Ocean Blvd related or is it for that « side project »? If it’s not for the album and it does première Tuesday, I can’t imagine it’s a Dua collab if only Lana is mentioned as « Hottest Record » (they surely would have included the two of them).

That was my bet for BoZ to be excited And it’s not uncommon on her part either: she released Looking for America and Season of the Witch just before Norman, you’ll Never Walk Alone before Chemtrails… I just hope it’s not a Dua Lipa collab for Barbie…

I think the Neil post is for the boxset. A third single could be coming… or another song unrelated to the album completely. But it has to be something that excites BoZ, which we don’t see very often. I think it has to be about music: he didn’t lose his shit over the titty pic or MV in the past. It has to be the announcement of the next album (fuck, I cant help but go back to that one). Seriously, maybe a surprise drop isn’t that far-fetched. I just hope it’s not a world tour : it wouldn’t be that incredible…

Unless she is revealing the name and cover of the next album to come very soon, explaining the Neil post?

I think it’s plausible too… or it’s my delulu brain going full gears… Maybe Lana’s team realized that the damn 16 vinyls we bought each were enough to secure a good top 1 or 2 spot on March 24 and that streams don’t matter much

Alright it has to be bigger than just a new single… my theories: - lots of visuals coming with a new single; - album dropping sometime between tomorrow and Tuesday; - something else completely unrelated to Ocean Blvd… Yes to Heaven dropping? (Okay this is not super credible though)

The way that any song from this album as a new single is a win to me (probably not the interludes but still)
