All of your descriptions are interesting and yet so different… and I think this could be the « new Lana »: channeling a bit of « every world » (production) she built in her first records, with some new spin, diary lyrics, something between her audiobooks and her LPs.

UV reached 2 Billions streams on Spotify, same with Norman She is on fire 🔥 I really think the new album will do well, since it has some of the raw elements of UV and the honesty + prod elements of Norman… (not saying Tunnel is a mix of the two at all… It’s going to be its own thing from what I read, although I think it will channel a bit of every era in the prod) Edit: she also achieved gaining 100 M streams of BTD in only 26 days!!!

I’ve talked about it yesterday and I’m not sure how effective any strategy would be TBH. It feels almost like a « punishment », to be legal, honest and respectful for her art (like I have to wait three more weeks while many already heard it illegally). But if every time an artist and their team rush-released an album because it leaked, well what would be the purpose of release dates anymore and wouldn’t it send the weird message that leakers now dictate album releases? With Lana, rush-releasing Love was a good idea since it was the lead and there was no real release date in sight (although it also messed the album’s pre-release and made those five months more hellish than they should have). With Tunnel, she could always release one of the songs that leaked, but since most of the album didn’t (or, at least, not in HQ), she shouldn’t change the album’s release date.

Love her make up, she is radiant. i love how timid and nervous she still is after all these years (which is pretty rare, in LA, everyone seems to have an inflated ego lol) the hair and the dress give a bit of a Jennifer Coolidge vibe, to be honest. Love Jen Coolidge, love her comeback story and the deserved love she got with White Lotus, but the look Lana pulled off reminds me a bit of her… She looks good but is it aging her? 🤷🏼

Im glad to read that you love The Grants and Sweet, which were two songs I was pretty neutral about.

well is it hoarding or are they making songs themselves with the different stems? seriously though, I’m glad I heard nothing yet: this album really feels like an experience to have, from start to finish

Rosemead spilled some more info about songs… and leaks happened, saying it was their exclusive or some shit, and the leakers are now tagging them apparently

LB, sometimes… You wish for some insider tea but become depressed and « not hyped anymore » because it’s not what you expected Anyways, I can’t wait for this album. I love the title track and A&W, but must confess that I don’t play them that often because they feel like they’re part of something bigger (probably because BoZ said that this album could have been released without singles and represents a whole)

I find ranking the tracks a bit pointless. Sure there are songs we love more than others, sure there are songs we are more excited about than others, but all of her albums have songs that grow on you over time, and what I find more interesting is the « landscape » the album provides as a whole.

I’d be very surprised if she said something weird: for all of those events, the artists have a prepared speech. She usually never messes up with those.
