Whatever single she chooses next, it has to be terrific enough to tide us over. I was very big on A&W being it (at 7 min+, it sure would do the trick), but as weeks pass and still not a new single in sight, any song would do. Sorry to be a bummer, I’m not super hyped at the moment for TUOB (I even stopped listening to the title track ). I think last week, with its radio silence, was the « « one-too-many » week that killed my vibe until something official happens, I’m going to pretend that nothing is being released until March.

I love them to death, but unless they provide new info about the rollout, it’s HER that needs to do something this week… Kintsugi was generous enough to give us a lot of info on the songs, but its not promo

At this point, any song coming at any time would do the trick for me, even the interludes But yeah, Candy Necklace on VDay would be lovely 🥰

Yeah I feel exposed although I enjoy very much BB, what is its sound? Piano (excluding Nectar of the Gods) and Light orchestra?!? Is that even a « signature sound? »… ? Lyrically, it’s clear what this album is about (telling her own story, passed traumas and relationship failures), but the sound of it is a bit hard to find…

I know it’s way too early to talk about this and it’s probably nothing, but all of Lana albums has a « signature » sound so far… UV comes easily to mind, with its jazzy electric guitar, HM has lots of strings… NFR is neo Laurel Canyon- melotron infused… COCC is midwest- folky… What if TUOB’s signature sound is… samples? VB will be sampled on Taco Truck, the collabs with RIOPY, Syml, Tommy, AK are all samples… The title track’s end reminds me a lot of the end of Dance Till We Die…

Well it’s been a dry run since Jan 13 (titty on a boxset tease and tracklist). We’re Feb 5… so I guess the next 23 days will be packed

I really love snippets… when they are close to the album release. She did post a lot in the LFL era, but it was pretty much a month before the album. With TUOB, like you said, thank God there aren’t any except for the 10-second Candy Necklace, which I barely listen to (not that it doesn’t sound good, it’s just too short, which is perfect if I don’t want to replay it over and over)

Preach! maybe there’ll be a preorder for the boxset then, same with what happened when the title track got released.

The only Grammy that matters for her is the lifetime achievement award (or whatever it’s named), in 20 years

Just had a thought (although it probably won’t happen, but…) she released the title track on Sean’s birthday (don’t forget me!) Sunday, it’s the Grammy’s… imagine if she releases A&W (which, to me, seems inspired by QFTC in a way) the week after the event, as a form of « protestation » (FU, music industry!!!)

I see everyone posting that she’ll release a single on a Friday… when it’s often not the case (the only song I remember being released on a Friday was LMLYLAW and soundtrack songs). A Wednesday is more plausible IMO - or even any other day of the week.

Yesterday, BTD was the 24th most streamed album on Spotify She is doing incredibly well… Imagine the numbers of a new single…

she really loves to tease on the weekend, so I wouldn’t rule out a post Friday or Saturday.

Neil teasing twice the ocean pics reminds me of the days before the cover reveal… Maybe the boxset is coming for preorder next week? Or even tomorrow?

Chemtrails only had 2 singles before release… Norman had five before release… it’s true that not having heard a lot of this album is nice. That’s why I want only one more single before release

Thank God for Neil, he’s teasing the album more than Lana does Seriously though, maybe the boxset design wasn’t completely finished when she posted the cover, and decided to post it anyways to help us « cope » with the delay?

Again, like I said before, what did her management honestly expect? The album is supposedly in people's hands since last summer, and yet the strategy still was to have a proper rollout, with physical copies and digital release on the same day... If they wanted nothing to leak, maybe plans should have been changed... (digital release in December and physical preorders, even if it means no number 1 for sure). Not mad at all at that decision they made (we're still getting a complete, long, new album a year and a half-ish after BB), but their reaction of being disappointed and upset, I mean... The real shocker is that it didnt leak yet too much and that there are still no real snippets that we know of. Not that i want that at all, she deserves all the numbers / coins she can get, especially with this album shaping up to be incredible, but if the album is circulating, it's still very much in small groups, which is very good given the situation.

2023 will be a very good year for her milestones: both UV and NFR are expected to hit the 2 Billion stream mark, BTD should get to 6 Billions... and HM will FINALLY hit 1 B
