She won’t start acting though. If she did anything, she’d just write it. She’s said it herself, she’s a bad actress and maybe that would explain why we haven’t seen real mv this era? Idk. But writing only takes a year or so for an entire movie or play or something. And tbh I always kind of thought she might already have a LB account. Wut lol MAC is about people thinking she’s sad when she’s not and this one guy took it the wrong way VB is more or less a pillow talk type of song. I imagine that she’d be saying that to a guy she really likes HTD is about her looking at her past and where she’s at today, with or without who was talked about in the song HIAB and Cinnamon are about a self destructive guy who’s path is only to inevitably destroy her too. The way he keeps her out, etc. (I think of them both as a follow up/sequel to Is This Happiness?) HIADT is more about her feeling crazy because she’s neither happy not sad, yet she’s almost in between and doesn’t know what that’s supposed to mean. I think it’s more of a song to herself really

I don’t expect her to go on a break. She always says she wants to “quit music” or she felt she had kind of a “writer’s block” and then a week later she’s saying “Oh I think I just wrote a song that’s kind of cool so” If she does she’ll say “Oh I’m going on break for a year or 2” and then 6 months into it she’d be working with another producer in a studio. To her, I think touring is like a break. Yeah, she has to be somewhere and is always traveling but she likes to call the stage her second home. It’d be unlike her to be like “Oh yeah nope I’m not doing tours or new records for multiple years, fuck that”. She works on records sometimes on the road, too. Someone said something about her releasing an unreleased collection during a break and that’s interesting because I know some demos she’ll use for things, then some tracks aren’t mastered or mixed exactly right or they have the wrong production/instrumental. She’d still be hands on on that project and knowing how picky she is, it wouldn’t surprise me that she’d end up wanting to redo all the tracks

Honestly the current layout has been ugly since it was on here (I’ve only been here for this one tho) I’m sure someone could make this site’s background better, just not as ugly as Lana’s lips look in that pic. They look too wet and glossy

True but that’s just one of my favorites from that era. I know she’d do it well. I really wouldn’t care what songs she’d do, as long as they’re jazzy. If she jazz covered an Amy track I’d die. I’d fucking die from too much happiness (is an Amy cover)

Because we’ve heard some from the current album I really wanna know where she’s gonna go next. If it’ll be a return to cinematic songs, big, cleanly produced again. Not that these aren’t, but these are just different. They’re not cinematic at all. I really need a jazz cover album. Stuff with like Lover Man by Billie Holliday, Bang Bang, something Elvisy. I’d love to hear her in full on jazz vocals like some of her live shows but on a full studio album full of it I thought it was just a thing she did for those kids??

Does anyone know what those 2 MikeWill tracks were for? Around 2013? Maybe the original UV?

For all we know, Bartender was originally done with Rick. It could’ve been the first track Jack worked on because she mentioned it around the same time they were starting work together. I just always assumed she did that one with Rick and I think she said she had maybe 1 more but didn’t put a name out??? I can’t remember now it was a year ago I think before the early NFR sessions began in Jan 18

Whatever lands on NFR, we know for SURE, there was at least 1-3 tracks produced by Rick before she met with Jack, and there are those 2 country tracks that aren’t on the album (at least, as far as we know) so roughly at least 3-5 tracks not on it. There could possibly be more, I mean it wouldn’t surprise me. I’d like to know how many demo versions/changed instrumentals there might actually be... I remember with Honeymoon, there weren’t many known unreleased tracks from that project but I’m pretty sure somewhere it was said there were about 20-25 tracks she worked on during that time? I could be wrong but iirc it was around that number and we know nothing about most of those outtakes (I’d love to hear the demo for MTWBT) or what the album would’ve been if it was named “MTWBT” like originally intended UV has so many good ones too. Remember that one Coconut & Key Lime Pie? Was that confirmed fake??? I think Your Girl was turned into Sad Girl some how. The chorus sounds very similar to me. That’s just my personal take on that one. Idk if that’s true at all, I haven’t listened to both back to back and compared the tracks but I always thought they were too similar to put both on the record (even tho I love both) Sorry these are the questions I still have and still wondering. Your post just got me thinking about these again lol
