Yes exactly! It really does have so much to it lol and now with the context of the lyrics of A&W that Lana shared, its starting to all make sense....that after Lana and Sean broke up, they were still hooking up (Tulsa Jesus Freak), while he was engaged to someone else without Lana knowing (A&W) and that their relationship ended because of their different views (Violets for Roses and Text Book) I wonder if we'll learn even more on the rest of Ocean Blvd...

I really like your analysis on this and I think its probably pretty accurate With the part "All the things I couldn't want for him" I always took it to mean, all the things she wanted for herself (a relationship, happiness and love, etc.) were all the things she couldn't want for her father in his relationship with Patty In other words, she feels she can't encourage his relationship with Patty because of her own dislike of her...in turn wishing her father's relationship (and happiness in love) to fail But with "I screamed for them, oh, oh" the question is, is she still talking about the things she couldn't want for her father's relationship with Patty? Or is she going back to her experiences at the protest? Perhaps both?

Well she has been posting about the merch and making videos on Tiktok so she is technically doing something for the album lol

For a while I would only buy clothing or accessories because I don't have a record player and CDs and cassettes would just take up space lol I usually try to buy one CD or cassette from each of Lana's albums (with the cover I like the most) just to support the sales When there's a lot to choose from (LDR village) I will only buy things I actually like/would possibly wear, or might just be very unique, but if there's smaller amounts of merch (like the most recent drop) I'll buy the things that I do indeed like, but also things I know will be of high value later. Not to resell, but just to have as part of my collection Ocean blvd is the first album I've actually bought vinyls for, because I love the covers so much lol

I think this also gives new meaning to Tulsa Jesus Freak since the whole song is pretty much about Sean/their relationship But specifically the line "find your way back to my bed again" kind of gives the context needed, that (likely) they had officially broken up, but continued to hook up after that, while unbeknownst to Lana, he was dating and engaged to another women (hence these new lines in A&W) He's a terrible person...I'm sure there are other songs about him on Ocean Blvd too but I hope Lana is able to move on from him now that she has shared all of this

Exactly - I think the home video scene is probably my favorite part in the movie and it reminds me of some clips Lana would use in some of her homemade music videos lol and thinking of the footage that was unfortunately stolen, I think you are right, that it was likely meant for some music videos for this era done in a similar style to the home videos in the movie At least for one of Rob's music videos we'll get to see some Grant family home videos Edit: also there's still a chance they could re-film some of the footage and maybe there will be a home video style music video for Paris, Texas
