i know it's been like 2 days of release but troye singing 1999 on his concert is probably the most promo we gonna have until the music video if she doesn't drop soon
i don't think there's a tv performance happening soon since it hasn't been announced yet so 
i hope 1999 ends up being like fancy... no one gave 2 fucks until the mv and *boom* #1

i was at the zoo today and there was definitely a bird that sounded exactly like the beginning of Track 10

Its amazing how the meaning of BIOYL changes as Track 10. Like in BIOYL "Every time you get too close I run away, and every time you say those words I don't know what to say, back to the beginning I wish that I can change" is just like a cute little pre-chorus but in Tack 10 its like........so sad

I would be completely content with her releasing pop albums and keeping all the PC stuff on mixtapes

I tried to look past it when I first heard her lmao I was like okay....she has an accent so... then I heard Troye say it like that and I was like girl
but that didn't stop me from purchasing and streaming, girls

its not dancehall but I can see what b4u is saying...it's like it fits in with this certain wave of dancehall-influenced pop music. Something about the vibe/atmosphere of the song, idk hard to explain. I can see why they put the push behind this one as a big single because sonically its much closer to the current gp trends than her other recent singles.
 
tho at the same time it still sounds SO charli, like I don't think she's compromised any of her individual style by shifting gears to a slightly more mainstream sound

i played 1999 for 2.5 hours with a 20min break between each play on my uni's radio

Those two things arent mutually exculsive, his singing can be garbage (it is on this song) and he can still bring in his large fanbase to help te song.

I do think that his artistry is extremely boring and his voice is stale/flat but I do acknowledge that it's charting because of him ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Xcx World will be forever my fav party album (together with Artpop) + her magnum opus to me and tbqh that album has potential but unfortunatelly it was ahead of its time, nobody would ever understand it. She did THAT! but lets move on from pc music, its not happening with Atlantic but at least it gave us so many bops. Come through new era

Can't wait to hear all the songs that were teased in July on XCX3 2.0, I hope nobody leaks any new songs snippets cause she might not release them and we'll go crazy

This is like reading a history textbook... it's so interesting how even a single performance had an effect on the label's view of XCX World but I guess that makes sense.

1. yes, it was partly her fault for debuting unreleased music live without permission from the label (including songs that sophie worked on without their knowledge)
2. I don't know what deal she has with Atlantic, but I was under the impression that they wanted "XCX3" to be her best work with them commercially since she could leave after.
3. Cass/Emily/Eyelar were commissioned in Summer 2017 after the second delay of XCX World (May 2017) because of ATAP's poor commercial performance as well as Bounce's negative reception from that TV show performance. they saw continuing to fund & release the original XCX World as a waste of time and money so they were having her record writer demos that they thought would be commercially susceptible to chart higher and get them more money, essentially bringing her back to basic pop which is during the time she said she was extremely depressed (around the release of Boys).
4. the label knew about N1A, but in later 2017 she had moved on from XCX World and begun XCX3 2.0 which will be her actual third album coming sometime before next summer.

& Secret (Shh), which she seems to like a lot. and she's named this whole wave of Dorian parties "Femmebot Fantasy," which goes along with your point. I think once she actually releases a track, she does a good job of embracing it wholeheartedly. I respect that about her. Obviously, Sucker was a bit of an exception to that, but it's respectable that she tries to get behind the tracks she does go through and release. 
 
Also guys...TRACKING DOWN THE EXACT HISTORY OF "XCX3" (WHATEVER THAT EVEN MEANS) IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE AND A WASTE OF TIME. 
SERIOUSLY.
THERE WERE SO MANY DRAFTS AND THINGS PLANNED FOR IT AND THEY WERE ALL, FOR WHATEVER UNKOWN REASON, NEVER ACTUALIZED.
